Do you people pay ANY attention?? I gave up panther like 2 weeks ago -_- to work on other stuff like armor which is now complete... and I'm also working on 4 more quests.. :/ And since I have other spare time, I asked to help Tseng on 2k1, kay? -_- Some people need different things to keep them working, Era/2k1 is my choice, Lyndzey plays graal + administrates the accounts.. I'm sure alot of you do two things to keep you going wether it be one or the other.. I actively work on both though.. And if I stopped working on Era, I'd probably hit myself and work on it, and level out my time between the two, or mostly Era which the case is right now.. And those of you interested, im helping make a quest.. thats really gonna steal all my time from Era and make me work on 2k1 24/7.. yup..

For one... It costs what... $10 for a lifetime of classic. That's 13 cents a year. That's alot of cash let me tell you

Secondly rules were not meant to be broken.

Thirdly Chrisz has shown through history (Rather he quit it or not) That he is unable to maintain two things at one time. Rather Era will die or nothing will be done on 2k1 on his behalf.

Im sick of you horrassing him, lay off dude =/
He didnt do anything to harm you did he??
I dont think its needed, and its not just $10 since he is a Manager soon he would have to pay $100, and $100 is alot more then $10. If the managers want to work there butt off let them, it doesnt hurt anyone nor any servers. If Chrisz thinks he can handle it let him, dont crush him to death with stress saying "quit you suck" Everyone knows you hate Chrisz, and everyone knows you want him to quit Era. Just please for once lay off of him.

And if I remeber this rule was made by an ex staff, he doesnt work here any more. Rules can change, plus this new server stuff is happening I dont really think Stefan would care O.o

I don't tihnk it matters who made the rules or when they quit. Everyone who they apply to have to obey them untill they are removed or changed.

untrue servers which are online get 6 months to breathe and if they are top 3 on the list they get one month free for every month they are at the top (Era is always number 2)

From the prespective from someone who does nothing more then Staff manager on any server he has Ever Worked on, you wouldnt know the strains of Development
It hurts a server when someone is exausting themselves on another one

No dont let him, people tend to get in over their head a lot, its up to people watching to pull their ego back to a real level, as far as him hating chrisz, mabye people got a misconception of how he came to manager, but a lot of people dislike him, not for who he is, or for what he does, but for the misconception i believe got out there about him

as it was said earlier, if a president quit, and all his precidents were ignored once he was gone, everything would be shattered

The only true and good part of your statement i found was that the new server stuff is changing things, you can manage more then one server, IF YOU CAN FORK UP THE MONEY

Its funny you know little about me but you can say this? lol
I have been a Developer on 3 servers I know its hard, but if the person thinks he can handle it let him. I wouldnt stop him if he wants to really do it. Staff Manager is the closest to a Manager on most servers, they basically do the same work. I myself on Graal 3000 still get like 3 hours of spar time left O.O.

He is helping make an AI for a boss (as well as other things) for a quest. He can't just "send it on AIM" as Nemesis would have Warcaptain do - Chrisz needs access to certain other of our systems so he can see how they all integrate.

Second, it seems to me that Nemesis had something against Warcaptain - he disallowed him but allowed others - selective enforcement of a rule does not speak very well about a person. Combined with the fact that he had to "go out with a bang/leave his mark", I am not inclined to care what "Nemesis said".

Having spent some months working to help Era (and believe me, it seemed I was always busy doing something), I do care about that server quite a bit, as well as about 2k1 - if I thought that Chrisz's presence at 2k1 would excessively detract from his responsibilities at Era, I would not have allowed him to work at 2k1. Ask him yourself; I was rather hesitant to accept his offer of help, but he convinced me that he could do it.

One might thing I was spread too thinly myself, managing a server, being global scripting team, and even helping out with some of the new playerworlds getting set up/dealing with small issues, but it has not really been a problem at all.

Knowing Nem, after the ban part and before the telling stefan why part you would prolly end up fired from your manager position and globally banned. Then wait 3-6 weeks (maybe more) for Stefan to unban you after you e-mail him. Unless you have faster connections to Stefan.

Didn't Nemesis make a rule saying you can't have the Owner tag?

Heh, see heres the thing. SA is private, and I am not only the "manager" but the sole developer in every aspect (script, graphics, ganis, levels, etc). Not to mention I made 97% of SA...

Not to mention I have direct contact to Stefan...and also not to mention, I believe nemesis wasn't allowed to touch SA. I am saying, if I was in DD position, and if he logged on, disconnected someone I allow on RC, then he would be gone. If he banned me, I would find some way to set things straight quickly.

Nemesis' really had no right to do that, and I am sure glad he is gone if he tossed his power around like that.

Are we allowed to use the Administrator tag? Because I think thats a global tag dunno... but when I put it on I automaticly went into the Staff part of the playerlist and that tag isn't in our Server Options O_O

I usually use Admin.

I thought local ban does not effect global admin accounts?

It doesn't effect there RC but you could always set there IP to 1.1.1.1

I remember Yakuna doing that to Nemesis when he was Manager of UN good times

EDIT: That could also be the reason he didn't last very long as Manager.

When I became Accounts Admin, I had to quit GP on Classic and Providence manager. I have been an accounts admin and a manager, and I know that manager is even more time consuming than accounts admin.

Having said that, I don't know how Chrisz will have enough time to manage Era plus help out on 2001, but he claims he does.

The only other problem I have is that Chrisz could easily lose interest in Era. He says that he is stressed out over it, and that can lead to isolation from the server. I have worked 2+ jobs at a time and I know exactly how it is.

As for Nemesis's rule, I think he made it up because he does have something against Warcaptain. That's the only reason PWA might let Chrisz off on this one.

I still think that Chrisz should quit 2001, but I will not force him to do so if he thinks he will have enough time.

--- Power went off before I could send my previous essay so this one wont be as good ---

It's harassing for one

Secondly I'm not against Chrisz. I'm just Pro Graal. Chrisz will devote his time to a single server. Sooner or later (Even if he goes and does something for both tomorrow).

General Stonewall Jackson once said 'If we fail to understand history then it will repeat itself' or something like that. Chrisz has shown us that he hardly finishes his projects and that he focouses on a single thing.

I'm just asking for Chrisz to choose one, 2k1 or Era. I'd love to have Chrisz as staff on 2k1. Just that it's like this

He works for 2k1 and Era and he chooses 2k1. Era DIES because a manager (even Chrisz) is better then NONE.
If he choses Era then there is no point for him to work for 2k1.

He he choses both then he'll just pick one anyway... the other server will be isolated from his work.

---

I'm just here to get Chrisz to fix his priorities. And I hardly find 'I helped him so he helps me' as a reason to hire someone. I've helped you Tseng, can I get a job on 2k1? (No I dont want one... I'm just proving a point)

Soul, usually I would agree with you but I think you misunderstand a few things. For one, you act like you are above the law just because Stefan and Unixmad put up your server and because you have access to debug, which is incorrect. Nemesis was the boss of basically all the playerworld managers, he was allowed to fire managers, especially if they disobey him. Which is also my second point, again, he was allowed to fire managers, since his official title was something like 'Classic Playerworlds GM'.

And Tseng, you heard lyndzey's opinion, being a playerworld manager is more time consuming than account manager, and Providence wasn't a popular server when she was comanager, I still dont get how you can help era out, manage 2k1, and be a GST all at the same time. Well, guess GST doesn't really count since the team really hasn't done much lately

Actually that isn't right...from what I heard, Nemesis told PWA they couldn't touch SA or Oasis..it isn't the same way with the new system, sure, but I would still ban someone if they did that (and of course, Unixmad/Stefan wouldn't, and obviously if they did there is nothing I can do about it).

Heh, the fact is, even if SA was allowed to be touched by Nemesis, I would still ban him even if it meant me losing my whole PW. He was a non-developer, he would not know what is best for a PW. And if I would have to endure being under something which does not know what it is doing, then I really wouldn't care losing it.

With the "above the law" thing, no I don't...but I have my own code which follows along side graals. I'm not forced to make anything, and the least I want is to have a feeling of authority over the creation. Admins on graal have a mindset for the classic garbage all have seen, and I am aiming for something different, so I don't expect them to know how to create it...also, obviously SA has a few things other worlds don't, because if you remove the manager of any PW, the PW will still function, and exist. You remove me from SA, SA will be gone and all the work will be useless, because there is not another single person who has my mind and knows what to do with what I have.

Anyway, excluding that, if I owned...say Frolic. I would be the same way, and if Nemesis tried to overpower me then I would ban him, and accept whatever outcome it has.

The fact is, the manager has the right to manage the server...and no global could possibly know what is best for the world better then a manager (manager being the producer, the one who created the world from scratch)

Allowing a Manager to work anywhere else is a bad idea...like Lyndzey said, Managing a server is a time consuming job, and should be their only priority, and the only thing on their plate, or the PW they manage will suffer for it.

Soul, I dont know what has gotten into you....you are so full of yourself lately, and think that noone can tell you what to do just because you are manager of your server. There are still rules, and a code of conduct that you have to follow, and there are still people that you have to answer to (Globals)
You cant just go around banning globals just because they do something on your PW that you dont agree with...they still have authority

Wow, Soul-Blade.

There's a thing called "You're not the boss - There are people above you."

Nemesis was. Stefan and unixmad are. Would you do that to stefan+unixmad? :-\

...The fact that you even say that you would have done that...must I even finish that sentence?

maybe because he was a global duh.
I still obey globals and i always will, if that makes me submissive , do i care?
Maybe i just like to follow rules.
After reading this , ok, maybe Nemesis did have something agaisnt WarCaptain, BUT this wasnt the first time he told me this.
A different Manager wanted to help me on DD and he said no, it was against the rules.
And has also been said, just because he is not a global anymore, all those rules are now there to be broken?
WOW! our country could have a ball with all the rules ex prime ministers made!
And if your going to go around saying hey, this is my playerworld im banning any globals i dont like off it, that makes you as corrupt as everyone said Nemesis was.
What Graal rules are you keeping?

And as far as the "Managers working as staff situation" I don't see why Managers can't persue other endeavors aside from their playerworld. Some Managers have a 40+ hour a week job and can manage their server just fine. Who's to say an unemployed person couldn't use that 40 hours to work on another playerworld?

If a PW Manager doesn't want to work on his/her playerworld - no rule is going to magically endow them with motivation. They'll find something else to do regardless of rules.

Well, guess GST doesn't really count since the team really hasn't done much lately
erm, forgot to respond to this

I have a lot of free time.

It's true that I haven't helped era so much lately as that attention which I used to direct towards Era I now direct towards 2k1 - I work hard on 2k1 to fix + oversee as much as possible (and the staff there are witnesses that I am working hard). My status on Era has been reduced to that of a consultant, the staff/players there can call me over there if my services/abliities are needed. How do I do that as well as GST work? I have had enough time to do both, as well as give new playerworlds advice + direction of how to get set up + even help some deal with problems such as one of thems' manager losing control of his account for a short while.

What I'm trying to say is I have a lot of free time, and I like helping out wherever I can (which, unfortunately, some people see as 'power hungriness' instead of 'desire to help out'); the combination of the two enables me to do many things at once.

Oh, and "I have no life," as some people say. That helps too, though I disagree with the words.

I usually use Admin.
Thats because in the server options it has this
staffguilds=Server,RC,Manager,Admin,
Most servers have that
If it begins with any of that it will be in the staff list.
So if Staff is on it, and I put on a Staff Manager or Staff Admin tag it will show up as staff.
And if its for Graphics Administrator and you had Graphics Admin in the server options it will be under staff too.

Well for one, I wasnt born in United States so my english is pretty bad. For two, if you look in Era's forums you had many attempts to get him to ether quit or get him fired. If what your saying is, that you want to help him then thats considered harrassment, tring to force him to do something he doesnt want. (ie Quit Era)

Since when do you make the rules? Its not up to you, its up to Stefan, unixmad, and Lyndzey. And Lyndzey even said her self, she wont force him to.

I find it disturbing that people who dont even manage a server, tend to dirrect managers into the dirrection they "need" to go. I have lost a lot of respect for chrisz in the last few weeks, but that is beside the point. So what if managers want to help on other servers. I also find it an annoyance that people who tend to hang out on the forums rather than working on a server or play the game like to tell managers or staff in general how they need to do their job.

I agree, if anything I think the rules need to be changed.

I think they already have been changed.
Managers are allowed to work on other servers, from what ive just read.
Everythings changing.
I dont know what rules to follow anymore.
I mean i was told it wasnt allowed, now it is.
Maybe someone should draw some conclusive rules up.
Then again, maybe nobody cares.

I think someone needs to make a list of rules and update it fequently. It confuses me too.

I think a lot of it is based on common sense...if you spend more time at someone elses server, then there is definatly something wrong. I would suppose that the occasional stopping in on someones server to help with a few things really has no harm, as long as your PW is a priority listed at the top of you list.

I quoted this one for the 2 posts above...Chrisz isn't working there. He is merely helping Tseng with some scripting buisness like a nice person. He needs RC for NC and such to add the scripts and fix stuff. And Zurkuba your a purely ignorant to say that he can hardly manage era. He does a great job with era and if you haven't noticed it stays steady as the #1 or #2 server on the classic list...Because whenever i talk to him (which is often) he is always working.

There never was a clear set of rules. Nemesis just told me rules when I asked him (I never asked about this).

I will not force Chrisz to quit because I am the accounts admin (my job has nothing to do with him) and because it will cause problems, just like this thread has caused.

Chrisz gets to keep Era and "help" 2001 until we can make up some rules about it and talk to unixmad. However, with my chat with Chrisz, I no longer feel the same way about him.

Well, my GP Captain just had a server to go up, and he has been reduced to a gp for now....when he no longer has time to be a gp, or the rules say he cant, then he will leave. I still do not agree with Managers working for other servers, but if it is going to be allowed, I cant force a good gp to quit on my server.
I agree with Tifa, I have no idea what to follow anymore, it seems the rules Nemesis set dont apply, yet some people are saying they do....someone set it straight.

Spark and I are working on a set of rules for the PWs to follow to end this confusion.
