Someone sent me some email that says:

Subject: Hi new staff level tool
From: Stefan Knorr <[email protected]>

Hi!

This konidias? birdbird or someone gave me this one for level useage.
Well, hope it is but we have new staff tool, it is for developers
and such just give me your acct. and pass and I will set you up and
give you page.

Now I'm no idiot, Stefan never contacts me over e-mail, and Stefan never asks for my account and pass.

Here is the extended info, after checking it, I realized it was coming from some email named [email protected]

Not only was I just naturally suspicious, but I got the e-mail like 10 times.

All parts of the email can be faked and most
mail servers doesn't check if the sender is correct,
so the only way to do secure things is using PGP

I don't think it's Hawk either, it's possible to fake every part in an E-Mail, and for as far as we know it might even be another Hawk.

hmm, this is interesting, because some guy named Hawk sent me a copy of a message supposidly from Stefan on ICQ that Stefan wanted him to help us on Npulse, and Hawk was wanting us to make him an RC account, but someone posted that Hawk is a PW inspector or something, I emailed Stefan about it but of course never got a reply....I am confused

But my fake trainer logged HIS account using it "Hawk" no mistaking it. This was a long while ago around when I first started on 2k1.
