Can you please fix the thing where you cannot post percent signs

Yes, I realise you can work around it by using html entities but parsing html entities in the first place is goddamn retarded and they should not at any point be exposed to the user and just fix your goddamn code

I realise this was discussed before and you decided to do nothing about it but it is still annoying as hell

bump this thread when you have to use a html entity to post a perfectly normal ascii character

It is a BIG problem. It happens nearly 95percent of the time I post a script, forcing me to do a work-around.

edit: Apparently this post was one of the 5percent, until I decided to edit it.

Either way, I agree. Fix it.

Moonie, in any other thread about a specific problem, posts saying "I am experiencing this problem, too, and agree with the request in the original post" would be perfectly fine. Why are you pruning them from this thread?

He asked people who have the problem to bump. I could have posted something like "yea, I'm experiencing the same problem", but I was lazy.

I'm pretty sure when that happened to me that I simply pushed the back button and my post was still there. I use Firefox.

I did push back and I'm also on Firefox. I think it's because I was using quick reply or something, I don't know. Just annoying when it happens because I completely forget about the whole "PERCNTANG SIGN IS TEH ANTICHRIST!!" thing.

Some of our codetards should make a greasemonkey script and post it.
  • Check the URL to make sure it's Graal Forums (or a forum running this version of VBulletin).
  • Find input boxes and convert any percents signs to display correctly.
  • Insert white text mocking Darlene.

Only problem with the greasemonkey script is that once it replaces the percent sign in the post, I can no longer edit the post because it'll give a bad request.

It's there for "security reasons" to prevent "code injection".

It is a protection against code injection. vBulletin is relatively secure but has such problems from time to time. The percentage sign thing can be annoying but better this than having the forums being down for weeks.
