they did. and if they didnt, they obviously wouldve realize after the first hurricane hit that this was probably a bad idea, and ditch and go somewheres else.

So what about all the other places? The whole Carribean is a hurricane plane. And what about all the places in other parts of the world.

LOL well the caribbeans are mostly poor anyway so...

Florida doesn't really have to worry as badly because the people there actually make decent incomes and can afford to protect their properties. I'd just be scared everytime a hurricane was to pass by.

I hate tornadoes the most though.

The main problem is the building material. Isn't it mainly wood in this region? It's much cheaper than concrete or bricks but also more unsteady.
It's curious: in gemany we don't have much tornados or erath quakes, but we build the houses almost exclusive with concrete or bricks.

You shouldn't have started in the first place. Also, ever heard of global warming and it's effect to the weather world-wide?

Actually where I live there's really nothing. The worse we have are some normal "storms" with decent-wind speeds but nothing major. Thunderstorms are non-existent, never been in a blizzard, hurricanes and tornadoes are probably impossible, but the trade-off is ugly winters compared to Florida's nice weather + beaches.

I live in Atlantic Canada (NB), we don't get earthquakes or tornados. Nova Scotia gets hurricanes but my province doesn't get touched by that stuff. NB is probably the safest place weatherwise.

Personally, I will take hurricanes over blizzards any day. I grew up in Indiana, and hated, hated, hated all the snow, blizzards, and freezing temps.

You're lying. Didn't Nova Scotia get hit by a crazy hurricane almost 2-3 years ago?

Global warming is affecting the temperature of the world, not adding natural disasters all over. Natural disasters are however a result of weather/climate, and thus some areas will notice an increase of things, while others might get less.

Here in Sweden, we're getting a huge temperature increase. We had snow whole 3 weeks the entire last year, and that came in February, and the year before we didn't get snow until January that lasted roughly a month and a half - comparing to 5 years ago and back when we used to have snow from mid November to March.

That's like saying... "Like hey, all my neighbors have had their homes broken into, but that doesn't mean there's a high criminal percentage where I live since they've never broken into my house."

I've tried to find any decent results for hurricane plane/plain on Google the past 5 minutes, and... I've found zero results. Sorry Elizabeth, but you're way off.

Okay then, I was confused on your wording. You said NS didn't get hurricanes, when it clearly does.
