YouTube does not pre-screen videos. And, YouTube has some videos with lots of violence, cursing, hate speech, racism; they even have messages from terrorists (which the government is trying to get taken down ...).

Go to YouTube, type in the name of just about any song, and you'll find it. These *should* not be on YT (for the most part) as it infringes copyrights.

And, some of that stuff IS allowed on YouTube, but would not be on here.

Why are you guys arguing about what content there is on YouTube? It's pretty obvious that any content posted would be moderated, just not screened or limited to two forums. Therein lies the discussion, not the fact that there is "bad" videos on the site that usually require you to be over 18 anyway. This is the internet, try screening people from Google as it's exactly the same; any links from Google posted with bad content would be removed too naturally.

If someone posted this content you're arguing about they'd be banned, but screening does not prevent someone who has the intent of posting something like that.

An owner is always responsible for his website, his forum and so for the content. Unixmad don't want specific kinds of content so he made the rules for his site. It doesn't matters if you tube moderate their content for +18 or under 18.

That's not the point. Unixmad wants more graal related material on the main forum, and that's the purpose of the lounge.
I dont think it had anything to do with moderation, or very little. He just wants the forums to be used for Graal.
The lounge was a good idea to keep non graal related material off the main forum, and in one area, but having the non graal related forum kind of defeats the purpose. One or the other should be removed. The non graal related forum is almost worthless because you cant put links there without permission. It is much easier to just go to the lounge where you know you can, as long as it is appropriate.

It is better to have them all in one area, then scattered throughout the forums.

Unixmad didn't make the video rule. In actual fact, there is no rules on videos in the forum rules and Stefan was the person who made them up.

I don't know how it is in France, but in the US, if you remove videos or other inappropriate or illegal content from a "Web 2.0" site (meaning that others make the content, not the owner) as quickly as possible, you are protected and are not liable for a lawsuit.

The N-G-R Forum (incl. the lounge) was a special concession Unixmad's to give the community some space to talk about other topics beside graal. But as many of you remember there was not long ago a lot trouble on the forums and many bad and inappropriate posts.

No, that is the purpose of the NGRT section, not only the lounge. Almost any given forum has this, and Graal specially needs it. There's not much to talk about regarding Graal and even if you were to remove the entire NGRT section you will not have MORE posts about Graal. It would just change the proportion of posts related to Graal assuming the NGRT section's posts aren't actually deleted.

They are used for Graal. The Bomy Island section still holds the highest number of posts.

Edit- Was told Rufus moved a lot of it to the NGRT, but theres enough about Graal. Has it ever occured to unixmad that there's not much to talk about when it comes to Graal? Apart from the negative things but thats a completely different problem.

The lounge sucks along with the silly rules that came with it (offsite linking, etc). Unixmad may be responsible for the content posted here but it's not like we have animal porn floating around the place. Really.

You are in this case. The rules SPECIFICALLY(I emphasize this, because it's so specific in what it does not allow) state links are not allowed. You can not click a youtube link and have it redirect you. Thus, it's not a link, technically or theoretically(no copy and pasting).
