Global Hacker Announcement

Sayian just gave me a great idea when he globaled to everyone that hacking is illegal and stuff.. I was thinking. Maybe there should be a script that announces "Hacking is Illegal and there are now new ways to make sure that you stay bant" or something, to scare noob hackers into not doing it. This announcement would accur every 5 minuits or so.

Unfortunately, that would probably have the reverse effect. Meaning, it would more than likely make it worse.

no because if the discouraged ones see the hacker and noones doing anything then they would all think "hey, we wont get in trouble cause nobody is on to do anything!" and then zone turns into "who has the best hack?" type game.

Dear citizens of Zone, it is quite obvious on what we should do.

We should give everyone staff boots, and unlimited health, let them run around Zone for years to come, and then the hackers will sit here, scratch their heads, and say:

"wut."

Because guess what, there is nothing to hack!!!

It is an idea that is just smart enough to work.

I don't think there's really a problem with the hackers (Or atleast not as big a problem as there was a month or 2 ago anyways). Today I was only PM'd twice about a player using hacks. I used to get them about, i'll say, 5-10 times a day. And then there was always the variable with the players I cought myself, and locked.

The thing is, the /lock system is no good. Hackers could care less. Most of the "hackers" are trials, so while there locked for that hour, they go make a new account, and get on again. And they just repeat the process.

We need a /lock system that would not require automatic unlock after an hour. Maybe we should have it like GK's Pillary system. Meaning, The player that is locked would not be able to speak, or move. And I believe that the Pillary system is determined by seconds (like : pillar 'accname', 'seconds') or something like that.

Anyways, /lock SayianOozaru, 9999999999999999999999 seconds/minutes would work alot better than, /lock SayianOozaru...And then I would be unlocked after an hour. See my point? This way Hackers would have to wait a long time, to be able to move/say anything again. And maybe the /lock system could /lock the players cpu, instead of account, if that is at all possible.

You can simply create an alternate zone for the hackers that while they're locked, they have no other people besides other people that are locked. Make it an exact mirror of zone, like an alternate universe. They might not even notice the difference unless you add a few AI's in there.

Or we can throw them in a room holding a combat knife vs 100 spar bots with 2000000 hp... And when they die they respawn with 20 hp.

i lol'd that the bold part. Stefan also runs Graal. Remeber that without him most of Graal we know today would be in-working still.

If out of some miraculous wonder that graal fired Stefan, chances are the graal world probably would not notice.. Well.. Maybe Zone would, but everywhere else, nah. :|

I don't know if he's claimed to be the 'OWNER' of Graal, although Unixmad is the OWNER of Linux Cyberjoueurs, so.. Probably Unixmad owns both of them, it used to be disputed in the good 'ol days.
