I couldn't agree more with the people in this thread. As much as you want to start your own server, it's a bad idea to do it without any development skills. I did the same thing. I started a server with only a bit of LAT experience and it didn't turn out good because my staff team thought I was sitting on my ass watching them do all the work (they left, and made Atrius lol funfact)

If people feed you server ideas, that isn't doing things on your own. The only thing that is going to happen is people putting you to shame because you're taking glory for someone else's ideas.

Okay buddy, we get that you just want power. If you have no developing skills of your own, you have no business trying to get other people to do all of your work. Making a server is about making your own ideas come to life -- with some kind of skill.

Please just stop making threads until you know what you're doing.

You're not the first person I've seen do this, and you're probably not going to be the first person to succeed based on everything else I've seen from you.

I'm skeptical because everyone that comes in here with no talent, or atleast you never see their talents because all they do is ask for things or try to revive past servers, they never succeed with a playerworld. It is fact my friend, until someone here proves that wrong.

Hi James. Hah. Anyways Jigga, honestly just stop developing servers. Stealing them isn't cool, atleast you arn't doing that anymore. Giveup unless you're going to learn how to NAT or LAT or do something productive. For real. I'll give you props for not stealing a server, although in the Oakdale I saw 4 Atrius images. =/. Do your own **** dude make your own ideas. I agree with everyone whos posted beforeth me.

This is my non-flaming advice.

Learn to develop competently in at least one area. I know level making isn't difficult at all so why not begin there? As a server manager you can't just delegate the tasks to your staff or they will have no respect for or motivation to help you. Think of it in terms of a company - the manager must do work other than telling others what needs to be done. Managers need to take part in the same or similar work to those working under them while knowing at least something about what those people do.

In other words if you want people to work for you and actually get things done, you need to show you're willing and able to do it too. People may be giving you the advice in the wrong way, but they're still giving you the right advice. You need to take the time, get familiar with things and come up with your own ideas before starting on server-building.

hmm, I've worked on a couple of your servers. But left because of lack of development, and the fact that you don't have a clue what your going to do.
You change your server idea every week.
1 week it's a classic style server. The next week it's a modern style server.

God man, is someone keeping count of how many servers this guy's been trying to do? We need a counter...so we could post it on everythread he makes.

Also, you should learn how to develop first. (Levels, Scripts, or Graphics)

Yeah, then we have an excuse (although we don't exactly need one) to only post '+1' for every thread he makes.

Only with constructive criticism will you ensure stability in the Graal community. Don't flame, just give your point and be on with your life.

As Kittah has said. Learn a field first. Join a server, and work in the field for a while. Once you've got everything you need to know. head over and learn another one. After you've got atleast two, than start to puzzle your own server ideas together. Than once you actually start, you can post here asking for additional staff members.

I seem to remember lecturing you over AIM about how one doesn't deserve their own server if they can't make their own content for it. There are far too many serves already and more of them are certainly not needed with the low amount of quality staff persons readily available in Graal. The only exception would be if a good number of good people got together to make a server, something which I would be interested in.

Yea same, it was Forum PM, then AIM, then he started saying "I thought you were my friend

". I don't really think they're all his "servers", more that he's convincing the owner to let HIM be owner... I think that's why the playerworld number always changes...
