More stuff for players to work on:
- Customizable guns *grenade launcher, clip size, spread control, ect*

- Vehicles with greater capacity *Vans, trucks, ect*
*sidenote: Allow cars to do damage when running into a player; it's stupid how you do more damage to yourself in a car when you hit a player that's randomly standing in the streets.

- Customizable Vehicles *armor (to reduce damage from bullets), possibly drive by, engine upgrades, fuel capacity, ect*

- Labor Skills *mining level, fishing level, strength level, ect*

Other:
- Stable Player-ran businesses
- meditech
- New stocking system *could be based off DDR*
- Updated ganis/gfx for the current guns
- More Event items
- Creative Events

The guns on Era need major adjusting.
I've proposed this already, so there's no need to go into major detail.

Also, gangs need a major revamp.
I rather like the "four corners" turf idea, and I think that's exactly
what to expect come the reset.

I say we do away with current gangs alltogether,
and make new gangs for the reset.

The current gangs' themes have been long forgotten. Now it's
more of a "Hey, you've got a warehouse base? So do we!" and
"Our gang gun's better than yours!"

The notion known as "loyalty" has been completely wiped
away from the gang scene. The only way to fix it would
be to make equality with gang guns, and have every gang
leader follow a certain set of rules for promotion and giving
benefits.

One gang can't "lay down the law" and expect people to stick to it;
That gang would quickly become inactive. In order for that to be
effective, all gangs would have to "lay down the law".

Your average Eranian isn't going to join Strict Squad when
he can join Lenient Loonies, and get their benefits without
expressing any form of loyalty.

I find it funny that Malicious, in the other thread said Era doesn't need new exciting content. That's the one thing Era is lacking.

Era is boring. It needs updates to constantly keep players interested in the game, not the same **** over and over.

it's hard to find good dedicated scripters. that's why losing andy was a big loss.

Her development experience is irrelevant.
In the seven years I've played Era, I've never heard of
her, therefore she's got no notable Era experience; no
knowledge of how Era runs.

We've already got GPs(including a GP Chief) that require
on-the-job training; we don't need any more strangers here.

and to tell you the thruth, no offense but most GPs idle at unstick me or other places. and SOMETIMES massing: everythings alright? anyone need help? they DONT move at all, if they move is to meet their friends and stuff... Era should have a urban police, one that is active, one that has good communication with players and such.

No that's just me. I mass "Any problems?" every couple of hours to see if anyone needs help. I get about 10 PMs every time and help them out with what ever. Half of their problems don't even need me to move so I sit in one spot and just solve their questions/problems through PMs.

I never discredited your popularity.
I discredited your knowledge of how Era systems work
and operate.

I'm labeling select GPs as "on-the-job trainees" because
that's exactly how I see it.

Neither LordSquirt and Deophite are Era natives; I'd give
the two of them 5 months Era experience-- max.

Neither of them know how the multitude of Era systems
operate, nor could they judge whether or not an NPC
was being exploited. Their judgment is crippled by their
inexperience.

I once called Deophite a "crash dummy", and he replied as
if I had insulted him. I explained that my reason behind it
was to point out his inexperience on Era.
He didn't deny it-- he simply said "GP is as GP does";
meaning "I could GP on Classic, so I can GP on Era".

That statement alone tells me the rude awakening he's
in for-- He's expecting happy-go-lucky classic systems
with happy-go-lucky classic players.

Era's systems are ten times more sophisticated than any
other server I've come across-- and the environment encourages
people to exploit.

It seems like you're running off of the work-ethic
of an Unholy Nation or Zodiac GP. They can't tell
the difference between a glitch and a hack, so I
don't give them much credit.

I've held the position of Era GP myself-- twice; so I can
speak from experience. As a GP, I didn't change the way I
played Era-- I still PKed, I still participated in gang activity,
I still played Events.

I was just a player that had the ability to look into a situation
when an issue came up.


I can't develop, I can't script; but I notoriously know how Era's
systems operate.

Do you even know what the GP's are suppose to do? They don't HAVE TO MOVE unless something requires them to DO SO. This is one of the many reasons why you will never get to be the Manager of Era.That, and because your a suck up.

Players usually report hackers, and suck ups usually find those glitchers.

If they can't figure out how to PM, Its best if the GP stayed in one spot. Nice way to own yourself buddy.

It needs new exciting content - after the mess that you and Icarus caused has been cleaned up, the server thoroughly reset, gangs and the economy revamped and a proper design plan is drawn. That is an entire thing within itself, and MUST be done before content can be added.

Right now, implementing any good ideas is only going to render them useless as they drown in the abhorrent waste that is Era at this point in time.

Just a reset alone would bring the game alive again for alot of people. Most of the people I know in Era would be very happy with a reset right now.

I propose that we set the default walk speed to
about 1.4; that's what it was in previous Era.
And do away with speed levels, of course.

You're right.
New content is necessary, it's just not in Era's best
interest to make it the top priority right now.

Fix the things that need to be done, reset, then
add new content.
It'll give players the "excite" factor, instead of "Aw man,
reset the $#!& already!"

they can reset tomorrow if they wanted to. it'd be an extremely dumb idea though. they need to fix the economy first. economy is first priority. reset without fixing the economy and you're back to square 1. they need to spend a lot of time on this. the economy starts off pretty good at the beginning of a reset, but ALWAYS goes downhill after a while (it only takes a few months before the economy is in a **** hole again) if they reset and their economic plans don't work, then again, back to square 1.

they also need to create a lot of new content. technically they don't have to, but why wouldn't they? who in their right mind thinks era doesn't need new stuff? seriously, come on now. you can always reset and offer new content later, but those types of promises have always seem to be let down in the past. either way you're making players wait no matter what time you decide to release new content, so might as well get it done while you can utilize the dev server space.

looking at the current staff lineup i don't think they can get anything major done in a decent amount of time. i don't doubt that they can get it done, it's just going to take a while.
