Classic-Level Collab :)

Hey

I thought about hosting a Classic-Level Collab.
The task will be to fill a level of a 3x3 gmap so that it fits to its neighboor but yet inherits a different style.

I will do one of the levels and publish the gmap later :O

It's where people work together on one thing. Usually the piece is broken up into sections and each person is given one to fill.

In this case, we're all working together to fill a gmap, so we'll probably each be given a level to fill.

The last question:

Which tiles?

My Idea would be to use the TOT tiles.. old styled tiles with some recolorations, additions and so on, pretty cool and useful.

But of course if you want it, we can use pics1 too.

I think I speak for all of us when I say anything based around pics1.png is fine.

Ya, pics1 is fine. If there's any need for custom tiles just let people use addtiledef2.

TOT tiles are based around pics1.png, though we took some of the older tiles (like the trees with the cyan in it) and added some other useful stuff, I guess.

You don't have to wait until all the slots are filled! Just post a map image of the gmap and let people choose their level. They'll post an image when it's done, and attach the level and you can update the map.

It's actually better if we do it while we're still waiting, that way not everyone is doing a level at the same time, and then when we're done we just have a mess of a map that doesn't look right.

So I say someone(preferred you) start a level, or at least a basic outline, and you post the map so we can all get started and choose which level we're going to do.

IMO you guys should use the old pics1, with the new grass, but without the new trees, housing and pathing.

Okay!

Here is the gmap, sadly I had no time to add the first lvl.

The zip contains the level files, and the gmap.
If you work on a level just post that you work on the level, like for example:
"I work on lvl collab1_a-3.nw"

In the top left of the level itself there will be an npc that says

PHP Code:

//Level designed by Account (Nickname) 


Open it and fill in your accountname and nickname so we know who made the level.

Delete the part that says "Niklas (Darklux)" and put your own Nickname and/or Accountname there instead, so we know who made the level!
When you are ready, just post the finished level.

I will upload a new package with updated map daily

Erm, we already have all 9 people. I edited the .zip (with a lot of help from Rufus) to only have 9 levels because Darklux's original plan was to have a 3x3 gmap. The more people that take part in this, the more confusing it gets.

Ah sorry, carry on then! You can take c3 if you want, since the gmap was made smaller and you had e5 before.

I will probaply do the last level, the others can start their level as soon as their predecessor is finished and posted his level, after that you have to take a level next to the one your predecessor created (if its not possible, just take any).

The fun part is how multiple lats play together, so everyone has to adapt his levels to another one
