Exclamation Need help...Seriously :(

Ok let's say... I think I should post it here

Alright.
I have a playerworld (like most of people )
It's called Silence

I first made a tileset from pics1.png, etc...
First, I don't know how it set it, but I just uploaded the image in RC (images folders)
Then, On the first level (OSL to be more precise), I put the new tileset
I then made a gmap, then the tileset was all over the gmap (which is good cuz I didn't know how I was going to set it over all the levels )

Then I made a new tileset, I wanted it to be more organized.
So everything I changed in the old tileset went on the new one.
But this new one is TYPE1 instead of TYPE0

I uploaded the image to RC, and deleted the image of the old tileset
I tried to have the new one on my server, but it wouldn't show
and I don't know how but the old tileset is still showing, even if I change the level or upload a new one

And anyway

Does someone know if making a new gmap (yeh I plan to change it), if I success by the help of someone to get TYPE1 as tileset, will affect it ?
I mean, you know, will it recognize the cliffs, etc..
Or will I have to do everything myself ?

I really don't know what you're asking, can you point out whats wrong instead of giving us all this history and etc.

You can't switch to type0 to type1. They are completely different in layout and will mess up your levels. You're either going to have to stick to type0 or redo your levels if you go to type1.

To clear tiledefs you need to use the script command removetiledefs(levelstart)

Ok but do I clear the tiledefs then i put back my tiles (the type1)

And anyway, I still can't find how to get the type1
I made one ok, I uploaded it on RC
But even in 1 level it wont show
and the old tileset is still here !

This is what I did:

if (created) {

removetiledefs;
addtiledef silence_tiles_type1.png;
}

can you tell me what's wrong ?

"addtiledef" has two more parameters. You need to do addtiledef tileset.png, begining of your level's name, tileset type;
Not to mention it's not clientsided, you have to put //#CLIENTSIDE above clientside scripts. For online scripts it's recommended you use gscript2, but for a working example.. do this:

I don't understand exactly what you're saying, he was trying to make it work in his level editor? Or did I misunderstand the question?

Another problem now

My tileset is ok to show on the online levels, but... isn't there a way to show
the tileset in the offline editor ? Would be much easier to use.
My tileset is blank now and whenever I wanna try to use something its getting black all over the level !

Having the tileset to show would be much easier to use I think o_o

Is it a 32-bit PNG?

I'm pretty sure you need 8-bit to work offline.

What we used to do for SoG was have an online 32-bit and an offline 8-bit.

I don't know really much about things like this
all I did was take a type1 tileset (one like era) Draw lines to identify differents categories (swamp, blocking, non-blocking, etc...) Then Copy Paste things from my type0 tileset in it in the good category...

Try exporting it as a 8-bit PNG. There are tutorials on this online
