And ECG doesn't simply scroll an image across. My suggestion is to do it the ol' fashioned way, frame by frame drawing. Remember, an ECG works by having the current heart rate represented by...., let's say, a pixel, right now(in older versions, this would be the needle drawing the line). All those lines and stuff represent information not up to date... so forget about it for now. The pixel changes its vertical position depending on the heart rate, and moves horizontally across, this is all you need to worry about right now. So animate that pixel moving until you're happy with it. THEN, add a trail effect to it. Everytime the pixel moves to a new position, leave a pixel with -5% opacity in the old position. Keep doing that until you have a really cool effect going. This is probably a poor explanation, but you should look up ECG's and see how they work, especially the computer ones(which this one seems to be tailored after). The basic premise is, dot=animation, line=trail effect. They are not one in the same, so you can't simply just loop it moving across.
Or just have someone script it using showpoly's. I'd recommend this, would be cool to see a dynamic ECG health bar.
