Menu (Rough)

This is the start of graphics for Metric Revolution. (the project i am starting on my own). I just want opinions on the shape of the menu. I know the shading needs lots of work im not done with it yet.

Well, what you have here is better than most first time graphics artists so I applaud you for that.

Tho you do need some lessons concerning reverse and regular anti-aliasing to make this look much smoother. Period.

That big blank background needs to have something done with it. Get rid of those fuly ass circles and that terrible color around the male and female choices. They do nothing for the graphic but add an eyesore.

Other, than that and the pillow shading. It's good, but overall it could be improved.

Its an odd outline.. We really cannot tell much until you actualy put some work into it. It could be entertaining though.

I like the shape and the topmost bit looks good but it needs some texture and some better shading.

The fact that the innermost menu is shaped differently than the outer makes it look rough and odd.

Looks nice, though you should work on the shading.

Hard to explain, its actually a name of some function if Paint Shop Pro. But its pretty much just saying pillow shadining in a square box form.

Depends really, I don't think there's much 'shading' possible with a flat object, unless you're going to do metallic or something. Otherwise, you should focus on texture or such to give it some life.
