Some Illustration

Done with mouse (yeah alot of work)

First made a sketch and then made the outlines in photoshop...
and then colored...

Sketching ~1 hour
Outlining ~1 hour
Coloring ~3 hours

poo o.o isnt he cute?

EDIT: just saw that the right leg looks a bit weird...like its farer away than the left...

Very nice! Only thing I don't like is the lips, they look odd.

the right leg is fine, except it looks like he has no right leg, just a limb.

Looks fine @ lips.

Uhhh... you should learn to use the pen tool in Illustrator. If you make any mistakes or want to adjust something it's a lot easier... and the mesh gradient is ****ing awesome - but really difficult to use - I still haven't mastered it :s

I know, I read that. The difference between looking and *being* vector art when it comes to Photoshop & Illustrator is very minimal.

What I mean by that is that... if you can properly emulate vector art (using the pen tool) in Photoshop you could easily pick up vector art in Illustrator... which is much more flexible.

Look at it for the quality of the creation rather than the subject. What do you think of the quality, any suggestions? (remember, he's emulated the "vector look")

Did a quick, no-effort(can tell by the lack of transparency and stuff), edit on the leg.

The perspective you chose is too dramatic - in actuality it wouldn't be bent as far in.

I don't really see a problem with any of the technical stuff... perhaps the lines which define his lips are a tad too dark. The only problem I see is the pose - considering the medium which the design is viewed on... it's sort of a poor angle, and also not very interesting.

well I had originally had the leg pulled a little bit out, but for some reason it didn't feel like what he was going for with it, and looked a little off. I think overall, the legs need some work, compared to his upper body, the upper-legs look short, just needs some tweaks here and there I'd say though.

Were it my own work I wouldn't bother touching it now - call it done and be done with it. I'd move onto a new one and consider a more interesting pose.

Opinion?

That's usually my course of action, minus the move on to a more interesting pose. I'd usually just stop all together. :P
