Kingdom equipment competition

We want to release a kingdom-specific equipment for graal kingdoms.
It will be available for all members of a kingdom, comprising: helmet, shield, gloves, belt, bracers and platemail.
In order to make it possible for the community to contribute the look, we open hereby an official competition.
Everyone has the possibility to submit his gfx suggestions.

Closing date is Sept. 30. 2006.

Send your suggestions by email as png file:
[email protected]. Only complete equipment as *.png files (not *.zip etc.) are rated.
Beginning of Octobers all valid suggestions will get published and issued to public evaluation.

When the gfx are chosen, the administration decide about the stats, so you don't need to be concerned about it.

I will add to your idea, Draenin, but support the main theme - a crafting table should be made for these items. However, a special object should be required. (just event out a number of these objects and leave the users with a choice of equipment to use it in) Each piece requires one of these special objects, and the user will only have one.

As I posted: the equipment will be available for all members of a kingdom.
Not for non members and not for members of other kingdoms. That's why they are called kingdom-specific.

I showed Alan then Gloves Ive made so far. He said they are better than the existing Pirates Gloves on Debug so he asked if I'd send him them and he would upload them to test it out.

The kingdom equipments will be only available for the time you are member of the kingdom. They will not be tradeable or dropable. But as I stated all those thing like stats and stuff will be decided and explained later.

I know you said it would be explained later but will they all have the same stats to keep people from choosing a kingdom because of item stats.

Dreanin hasnt seen my work, I havn't seen his work.
I don't go around saying mine owns his if I think I'm better. I dont judge people until I've seen there work. Why doesnt anyone else do that?

Because, for the most part, this is a small community and people know the good ones. It's fairly rare that a new and amazing artist strolls in.

How will the kingdom get the item? My idea is to make a "tree", well like an unmoveable block that just gives the kingdom the item. Only problem is Zepplin over the walls...

Actually, it's easier to just use the tag-only equipment system, rather than throwing in checks on anything and everything.

Okay, I have got equipment submissions for 2 kingdoms. That means, the other kingdoms are not interested in kingdom specific equipment. I will see if Stefan or Björn will do a decision if the equipment for the other kingdoms will released by a second competition some months later or what will happen.

I will show in a new thread the submissions I've got for Dustari and Zomite.

Im with Dustari, but if you want I will try to make some equip for the other kingdoms, too.

For a while, Alarid was working on some awesome armor for Zormite based off Zen's old designs. It was really nice, but I don't think it ever got finished.

Nope. If I would get permission to decide about kingdom leaders and things like that, some things would happen...

Dustari better not get their own ring, amulet and sword just because Sol submitted GFX for them even though the contest didn't ask for any ring/amulet/sword GFX.

Edit: The Zormite Helmet in the new thread doesn't match the version on my harddrive that I submitted. The one in the thread has a gray dot when facing right that doesn't appear when facing left.

I could submit stuff for Samurai and whatnot, but I don't really feel that Kingdoms is even worth my work right now.
