Question MySQL 5.0

Hi.

Im trying to install MySQL 5.0 for the first time. I downloaded the package containing all contents needed for MySQL to work, but when i attempt to extract it to a folder in which i select, it's not extracted, but it pretty much just copies itself to the destination folder. Now that i look at it, the extension appears to be ".msi". I've tried WinZIP,RAR, and PowerArchiver, but no luck.

Does anyone know a program that can extract a package with that extension, or the correct way to go about this incase im doing this incorrectly?

MSI is the Microsoft Installer format. You should just be able to double click it. If not, you probably don't have the installer installed for some strange reason. You can get it here for WinXP/2KSP4, or here for Win95/98/ME.

Thank you very much,CheeToS. I thought since the default folder icon for it was the Winzip archive, i was missing a file and/or program for winzip. Thanks though, appreciate it. Now it's just a matter of knowing how to start it.
Edit: It seems all my attempts are useless, i thought i can have my own MySQL upgrade on my webhosting, like in a folder mysql/ ,but apparently not. I have to request that GoDaddy.com upgrades their MySQL server(s), but i doubt they will.
