Evented Items

It has come to my attention that chef hats were evented off today. Two originals and a RECOLOR. But that's not what I'm going to talk about. What I'm going to talk about is this:

Why is it that whenever a new item is created, it is only distributed via events? Why is it that items cannot be crafted? Nearly everything good, or hell, even mediocre, is distributed through events, and just how many events do we have that actually distribute worthwhile items?

Even when I'm given stuff to event off, I am given things that I can gain on a daily basis, and that I do, as a matter of fact. Either make them craftable, (Whether they be hard to craft or not.) don't make them at all, or start letting EMs distribute things that are actually worth keeping. It's not like you guys don't monitor what is distributed anyway.

It doesn't matter how bad or how good they are. Why are items like these not craftable? They're a cosmetic item for Gov's sake.

Agreed, make tons of craftable things. Update and make old stuff craftable too.

I agree. I don't think it will effect the value of the items to much if you make the stuff needed to Alchemy or create via blacksmith difficult to get, such as a PMoP. It's craftable, very good armor but annoying to get Panther hearts.

Maybe like (Flame/normal) Ice Daggers be craftable? 10 ice cubes, a Hievil heart, diamond, and one iron blade? Stuff like that would make this have more viriaty.

If someone gives me the proper scripts I, and I'm sure Grirahan, Draenin, Dayaa, Draxx, Steward, Steven, and others, would be more than willing to make the appropriate levels.

Fr0 doesn't really do Dev work, as far as I've seen, and the same goes for his cohort. It isn't hard to script. It's hard to get approved.

I think it would be ok the make the normal one craftable. But not the golden one.

Why, so that they can be one-of-a-kind and someday be extinguished, like about a billion other things? Why not simply have it cost a certain amount of ECs? It's not like it would require many anyway, considering the stats put on it.

I wouldnt minde if EM's were given one or two rare/semirare items a month or whenever thir bags ran out to give out in regular events.

usually in my rp events i get a few good items to give away. but yeah sage i do agree.

I hate RP events, the same people win every time, they are very boring also. plus everytime a RP event is hosted its the same sort of thing >.< raffle ftw!

I wanted that event to be kind of special because it was my last event, normally iam against overpowered items too, but i cant see a problem with these, since they are only cosmetic.
