Zone: Progress of the new things

We are still working on the new guild wars map, today we have uploaded the lava cave which is part of that map. The lava cave is melee-weapons only. We hope to get that new map done in max 2-3 weeks.
The new map also introduces several new weapons and has classes with different abilities / goals. It will replace the current Zone Wars map and will support guild fights - the guild who kills all members of the other team wins.

When you say melee weapons only, is that just in the lava-cave part or is it everywhere?

Typhoon, I'm pretty sure he meant only in the Lava Cave.

Also, it looks pretty nice. I'd like to get my hands on that tileset xD

I'll be sure to log on with my Lost Souls tag and play a round or two, even if it means by myself.

EDIT: I noticed something. It looks awfully like that Star Wars scene from Episode III... y'know, with that final battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan?

Is the GW map p2p only or will people be able to gom in with out a tag and just fight everyone.

Implenting around three of many of my ideas would greatly benefit that map, and I like the sound of melee-only.

I think plasmasabres need to be remade - they're shoddy in terms of damage, 45 per swing is far too much, and the energy they use is way too much in terms of DPS compared to other weapons.

In my eyes;

Plasmasabre - 22.5dps
Muramasa 15.5dps

Muramasa would be the better choice, but why? It does less damage. The plasmasabre has one of the most pathetic delays in the whole game, i think it's around .8 of a second, whereas r51 does 51 damage when dual wielded with only a .6 delay. Lowering the plasmasabre damage to 15 and making it dual wieldable, and negating that delay to .3 and possibly adding a speed boost or some energy consuming dash type thing, the weapon would finally mean something without a jetpack.

Frankly, if need be, i'm going to take up gani'ing to make a dual wield plasmasabre, as it just appeals to me so much.

Oh, right. Good job on this, but you guys still need to look at the playerbase more often, read our goddamn ideas and impent some?

Anyway, this new map isn't going to be Star Wars themed, I hope. In fact, I know it won't. Hell, the theme is Guild Wars, not Star Wars or Zone Wars. Sure, it ends in Wars, but I have a funny feeling it'll be different.

Plasma sabre is fine the way it is, the only thing I can say to improve it is +0.7 of what the muramasa sprint speed is and +0.5 of the sabre sprint seeing as they would make you more aero-dynamic. (The trick with sabres is to dodge the bullets and make those long range people come to you)

I'm not fond of the lava. Could give it a bit more of an orangey-yellow glow, plus have black bits floating around, give it that real molten rock feel

2nd note - trials need tags back man...think about it....i dunno if youve read ALL the discussions on this...but it doesnt do anything at all.....it just hurts the vips.....we need to allow trials on our guild dude :/

Guild wars is stupid as long as trials can't wear tags. Maybe trials can't be in guilds but can wear tags that leaders (or co-leaders) can asign to them. Like instead of a real tag have... Trial {Lost Souls} rather then Trial (Lost Souls). But the {}'s are all they need to get into guild wars?

How about they just say /'tag' on. E.G. /Hayashi on.
But the command only works in guild wars.

Yeah, there's about 20-30 total P2P's and that's 10-15 per team, and normally there's only about 8 P2P's on at a time, unless this attracts many more it's pointless without trial tags...

its fine and all with the hp....whatever...as a trial i delt with it...if anything it makes a trial better as time goes on

but the tags ONLY affect the p2ps

We can't go around having events all the time, otherwise everyone would have the weapons...This happened once in the past 11 months, and uhhhh i didn't really like it, everyone was running around with bps or rps or reapers...anyway we'll have events every now and then hopefully

I think that someone should upload Event weapons earlier than a week after they happen. I won my reapers a week ago, and it's not as if I care or anything, but, it's been a week.

On a different note, I see that I'm not on that list. Not that big a deal, all I really did when I played was annoy people
