You shouldn't use the Path Generator for one thing. I'd suggest killing off most of the sand paths, maybe increase the number of trees, if you insist on having no plain green tiles. From what I can see, the level has way to much going on. Simplify.

As said stop using path generator. You're mini tree is ugly. and it looks like a giant tile error. You have tile errors in your water, the actual levels are all boring :/

I suggest searching for some levels posted by Wan, Knuckles, or myself for some good levels in my oppinion so you can see how we do our levels.

Edited:
A level of Wans, nice beach. and detailing

Some reason when I search for my own levels nothing comes up >.< and Knuckles posted some levels recently so just look around.

Don't listen to them about your mini-trees; Take this advice instead.
When you experiment in tiling where something looks good but also looks errored-- make a graphic for it

Dont listen to us about the tree? that's bad advice. It's ugly tiling not an ugly idea.

But you didn't offer all the potential aspects of how the ugly tiling could be remedied.

They arent creative at all. The sand is ugly, and you made it obvious that you used the path generater. Try gettig individual tiles from the 'Select Tile' option. It will be a pain at first, but you will notice it gets easier and your levels look better.

No, go away npc generated path BAD, BAD, BAD!

Do your paths by hand, they look a lot better, trust me.

2/10 for trying to make a neat level, without the generated paths it would look sweet.

well...lets get down with some constructive critism.

-On the level (screenshot-topleft) here are a few pointers that might get you going into the right more-so. On a positive note first- you want to keep your randomness. Its what helps make a level more appealing and more realistic to the eye (yeah its cartoon but the layout can still look realistic)
-The path generator isnt a good idea unless you plan on doing a large area-but then again you still have fill tiles to help with this. Also if you use the path generator, clean up the inside and skew the edges around it some more to make it look not as "generated" if you do have to resort to using the generator.
-Your trees- see the two yellow trees at the bottom? if you pull the tiles out one more "graal tile pixel" it might have a more appealing affect. then you can use your overlapping trees like on the left side easier.
-The flowers- too many. personally i hate graal flowers cause i think they are ugly. if you are gonna use flowers perhaps create your own in paint/photoshop/psp or ask a gfx person to help .
-The water- Make the water more random. The bottom of a lake, river, or ocean is like a a top of a cave. there are canyons and other random divets in random spots. Make the darkblue "blockable" water more random too.
-The bridge- Alright, with bridges. if you're going to make them go up like that then you're gonna have to give them some sort of depth or else it will look "unrealistic"...meaning use sort of stilt to give it that look of it being held up or supported. also if you use "stilts" be sure to find a ripple graphic to go around it in the water.
--- Now for your level (screenshot-topright)
-Alright for this, from what i can see, it is a more attractive level than you're other one. But let's get started...
-The water-Most servers and level makers will make just blue water like you have done. which is perfectly fine. its good to see you added some distraction from the blueness with the water rocks. make add some more dark blue patches around, kind of random or some other obstical such as a dock or wooden half bridge or something, (its up too you...) protruding from the right side. or maybe make the right side cliff edges go out then in. its fine as it is but its up too you.
-The paths-again. be creative, make the path tile by tile, youll be amazed with what you can come up with.
-The "lighthouse"?-make it shaped like a light house maybe? up too you as well. like make different levels getting skinner towards the top. if you decide to do such-make sure you keep the depth the same, or else you will really mess with a person's eyes. use like wooden stilts that to go through it and other wooden tiles to go across so you can have multi layer effects. experiment with the tiles. also the light at the top. maybe try to put it on its own pedistal- you know like a lighthouse? also, get creative with roofing. you dont have to use the standard house graal roofing. trust me ive seen everything, there are some pretty cool ideas outthere.

Just play around with stuff. don't stop changing your level until it pleases your eyes as best possible. if you think something can be changed to make it better, just keep messing around until you find something you like. in the end all that matters is that you like it. who knows maybe you will come up with something we havent seen before. its possible and i've seen it done. im not going too suggest player's levels too you because they arent you, you might do stuff differently.

-Again, I only have suggestions. I'm not saying they will make you better or worse. Oh and if your looking for any credibility like half these people above me love to "claim" anyways you can AIM me ill be happy to give you a list.

-Hope my suggestions help you with your future levels. Keep At it.
-DV
