Because I'm so bloody awesome...

Or because I've been home sick for the past couple days, I'm not so sure... Either way I found this buried in the filing cabinet attached to to my computer desk and thought it was hilarous.

Pointless Backstory.

If I remember correctly, this is a twisted, deformed, doped up version of Nim. Nim is a character created by my two friends (Misha, and David) and myself. I think we made him 5 or 6 years ago, some time during 7th grade... It was for a school project, we had to create a children's book for English class so we thought up this mismatched character.

He has a big blue oval body, a big orange nose, big red clown shoes, and very long, elastic type arms... Oh, not to forget his odd eyes sitting atop his head with his floating eyebrows (in the last book David added an eyebrow ring to him on the cover to make him more HARDCORE!!! YEAH!).

We made three books:
1) "The Adventures of Nim: Nim's Loses His Kite" (English)
2) "Les Adventures de Nim: La Cherche pour Pere Noel" (French obviously)
3) "Les Adventures de Nim: Nim et les Meanies Rough" (A French Beatles rippoff)

The grammar in the french titles is probably terrible, I havent done anything french related in two years.

1) Nim wakes up in his house (Which is a giant purple bowler) gets some breakfast (Cake. Always cake. Nothing but cake.) then loses his kite, so he goes and finds it. I think this one has random cats in it too, and I used the cat heads from graal just for the hell of it.

2) I think Nim wakes up Christmas Eve to a bunch of reindeer, and a sleigh on his lawn, so he goes around saving christmas, and rescuing jolly old men with cherry noses, and bellies like bowls full of jelly from snowy mountain tops.

3) Nim wakes up to a noise and goes out on his front lawn to see a gigantic drilling machine coming out of his petunia patch. A big burly man comes out and tells hin that Pepper Land is in trouble from the red meanies. So Nim goes there and kills them with "Amour" (i.e., cruching the meanies with big blocks shaped like the letters A, M, O, U, and R.)

Anyway, Nim is awesome because he lives in a giant hat, and eats cake all day. And I found this awesome picture, so I'm posting it in the graphics forum. If I can find any of the old books, I might post them too.

A few stories actually... I found the original line art for the last book in my filing cabinet too... It's not the same though. The actual story is missing, and it just doesnt have the same effect without the psychedelic colour job with cheesy rainbow graident skies.

Oh, and it was 9th grade that we thought him up, not 7th. We made two books in 9th grade, and the last one in 10th.
