No it's not possible to access the server options yet. You want to display them or actually change them?

Not possible, like Stefan said, but if you eventually want to check the staff list, there are other ways to do that.

Display them. I know there are a ton of ways around this but if I said something like specialaccounts=zokemon,Slash-P2P
and I wanted it to pm a message to those accounts when they log on...can this be done via server ops?
(Don't bother explaining how to pm when someone logs on...I only care about the server ops part)

Stefan replied to my post but not my PM

I've wanted GScript to be able to read server options for a while.
It would be nice for certain NPCs that check if a person is staff, or something along those lines.

It is possible and there is no need to check the server-options. By the way, the server-options shouldn't and hopefully will not be able to be checked by non-staffs.

I'm saying have npcs load if the player is or is not staff from the server list, then maybe set a string or something acknowleding he/she is a staff member. That way there doesnt need to be another string somewhere.

But of course, as long as it isn't something that someone posts that I specifically said I don't not need to know about but they felt like posting it anyways in an attempt to make me look less skillful then I actually am.

So a moderator can close everyones threads when they want, but can't close a thread when someone asks? I know atleast 1 moderator has viewed this thread. It really shows how great the Graal administration is.

Now lets wait for a moderator to pretend they do a good job, modify/delete my posts, and finally close the thread.

Why not? If there is an end to a thread and it couldnt possibly continue being discussed about, and the thread starter requests the thread to be closed, the thread should be closed.

It might just provide "the forbidden thing", Customer Satisfaction.

Has that happened here? How does one determine whether or not it has? And if it had, surely nobody would be posting anyway, so a lock would be redundant.

Why should we give the thread starter more authority than other users?

The answer was NO. You can not read server options with GScript.

What's your point?

Then why did you explicitly specify the creator as the recipient of this right?

You're being somewhat ambiguous. If you believe that the creator of a thread should have more authority over it than other users then you'll need to justify the belief. If not, you've been using some very misleading wording.

Quote:

Okay, the players don't like mods and hate that they don't always get their way, but I'm going to continue discussing this because I'm not a hissy child like you.

Petty insults: Also not good substitutes.

Kiddo, you started an argument and you lost. Don't blame the victor just for being better than you.

What an astounding hypocrite. If you feel that such puerile and illogical assertions carry any weight then perhaps I should take advantage of them myself.

'zokemon' has to have the last word just like a little kid. If he ever responds to anything ever again, he proves me right. If he doesn't, the board is a better place. Either way, I'm happy
