With the many promised abilities, it may very well effect every graal player there is. Not just scripters.

Have you heard the RC and Level editor and virtually every thing else will be integrated?

Well that is becouse they will be scripted.

Wait.
If RC is integrated with scripting, that would mean that if the NPCServer crashes or something, so does everyone's RC and anything else that is integrated...That would suck.

I don't really give about the dumb v3+ anymore, it's taking to long to complete, and its ruining my game time/ since kingdom rarely gets any updates ,I dont play it anymore...

I doubt the RC is completely scripted, more like you can change the theme of the RC and things like that.

But also, the new engine keeps confusing me. I used to know how stuff works, and it was all logically fitting with everything else. But the new engine is not developed over time like the current one is but a lot of hacks and I do not really understand it

Yah, Jag's been working on it, we haven't got NC done but he's got all the RC stuff done. I've been playing with some file manipulation for editing of NPCs, but until Stefan gets a chance to finish the data requests we can't do it.
It's not like if the NPC Server crashes all will be lost.
Odds are you won't be able to chat until you reboot it, BUT it won't ruin everything. Still working on a way to do it, but since it's done clientside perhaps there will be a tool to do it, who knows. You can do it in CPanel as you know so that might be the way it's done. We'll see.
But yeah, been using the new engine for a bit, it's pretty nice but if it was public then I could stop using the old engine =)

It would be nice if we could get some example of how the new scripting is done... Like the same script in old scripting and new scripting to see the diffrences. And more than just one example if possible.

I do hope the GST is keeping sound documentation on all the new stuff.

If they aren't, shame on them.
It better not be another serverside fiasco.
It took way too long to learn it from mostly bits and peices as they arose.
