Too bad that Zen doesn't want to be anything but human.

Otherwise, he would have made himself a zormite head ages ago.

(Why they picked someone who had no 2k1 zormite experience to lead zormite on 2k2 is far, far beyond me.)

Bleh
So instead of having a culture, Zen goes for Cavemen =X

They need to reelect someone who has past Zormite Experience...WHERES GOOGI!

Zurkiba has past Zormite experience... so does Nappa. And well... so does Googi.

And if you'd read the posts in the Zormite forum you'll see that he didn't do the fish race because 'There are no fish heads'

He's the leader of the global gfx team - I think if he had wanted to, he could have made his own head, and recolored it.

Speaking of Zen, I haven't seen him in ages? Does he even play 2k2 still?
Also for leader of global gfx team he doesn't do much...but thats another story.

He's still the "Dictator" of the "Zormite Republic".

And that's also another story (mutual contraditions are fun ).

i can't say i like what Zen did with it, but I was never really on when I was king, but I couldn't be for reasons I can't discuss. So I just up and left and Zen got it.

Possibly there should be a mutany or umm, figuring its a Republic, a impeachment? Heh... Wait, Zormites a dictatorship? Why not just assassionate him? Itd be fun to have something that is half-ass RP worthy between kingdoms nowadayz... *dreads thinking of rping with most samurais*

How exactly will you guys over power him?
I mean to us he is a great king and he comes on at night..usually 10-11pm pacific..

Also we are having some new stuff coming soon for the kingdoms RP history..

and ghost pirate what exactly do you want? I mean the current body's wouldnt look right with just a fish head like that.. I mean I would use it if there was a fish body..and why do you guys even care what is going on in zormite? It is none of your buisness if we didn't like what zen was doing we would be complaining wouldn't we?

I think the fish head looks fine, just don't wear hair with it. Scales + hair, does NOT usually mix. (Common sense really. Leave the hair to the mammals. =P )

((Now....we just need some sort of Kingdom of the Foxes... ))

Indeed - and note that the only ones complaining are those people who are new to Zormite + the Zormite idea + don't know the Zormite tradition.

It is our business. Tseng and Myself complain because we acually worked hard on Zormite (Yes we worked... we brought back a dead kingdom and turned it into a superpower). And we're mad to see our work trashed because people didn't want to follow tradition.

Ghost Pirate as been an RPer since the start. He used to be Kingdoms Admin on 2k1. So I believe he's bonded with the tradition a little.

What Zormite is doing right now is acually... disrespect to it's founders. If one of the founding Zormites was to come on 2k2... go to Zormite and see that they're humans, he'd flip.

ZEN BASHING? or Just Opinions?

I like how the leaders of other Kingdom's have taken it upon themselves to decide what's best for Zormite!!! If this was a true RP game, then why not (enstead of personally attacking individuals in these threads) take it up in the GAME. Have a problem with a kingdom... Do something about it in RP. Ghost Pirate did, when he ordered CP to attack Zormite for no logical reason, except his personal disatisfation with our government. That at least I respect! Given the nature of "pirates". But to remove your self from Role Play to attack another person purely out of "jealousy, spite, a lack of understanding... or just purely a dislike for an idividual seems like we're moving away from Game play and getting into "presonal issues" with individual people.

But if you want to talk about GK2k2, (the game I am playing)...Just read the storyline on the main page at Graalonline.

All RP characters are referred to as "Graalian People" (not fish)

Quote:
Final Hope:
Five islands were discovered by the Graalian people as they approached the shores. The people decided to rebuild their lives on these new islands. They built towns and ports, houses and shops. Soon, they had decided to reclaim the land they had lost. Kingdoms were formed on each island, in an effort to prepare for the approaching battle. These Kingdoms became known as Dustari, Forest, Pirate, Samurai, and Zormite. Each kingdom built armies and castles in preparation for war. It appeared that hope was once again restored in the people of the new lands...
Notice the description refers to "New Islands" which to me says Zormite is a "New Kingdom that was created after dustruction caused by the moon" not the Original Kingdom of GK2k1. And perhaps this island was named after ancestors who "were fishmen who evolved that evoled into the people they are today. What ever the reason(s).... at least let that be the descretion of the "Leader and members of that community."

And just for the "Record" Zen you are a "great" leader, if you weren't I doubt that Zormite would be growing at the rate it is!!! And to the members of Zormite.... what a great bunch of people you are!!!!! Even though we may have our disagreements at times..... the real success of Zormite is in it's ability to "setlle its disagreements" in positive ways, without them leading to "player bashing" LONG LIVE THE ZORMITE REPUBLIC!

That's right Razelle, Zen is an uber-awesome leader. We have a lot of members, are always doing some project or another, and hold events a lot ( Sometimes 4-5 times a week!). Only through Zen's great rule could we have come so far.
And anyone wondering why we don't RP as fishies anymore, please refer to the Religion of Zormite board on the Zormite message boards.
If you don't like something we do, don't make a board to complain about it, talk it through with Zen and i'm sure he will have a good reason WHY we do it.

Zormite doesn't just let anyone join their kingdom. Traditionally, that is.

I say this not as a kingdom leader, but as a former Emperor of Zormite on graal2001 who respected and followed the tradition.

Who's to say nothing will be done in-game?

Zurkiba was merely pointing out the obvious contrary-to-tradition nature of Zormite - it was nice to hear that someone else agreed with my feelings on the matter.

A fish-race can also be called a fish-people, which is still a "people." You fail to acknowledge the other definition of the word 'people', which means 'a culture'.

Right. So the Zormite on 2k2 is supposed to be built from the surviors of Zormite on 2k1. Who were fish-people. Why, then, should Zormite on 2k2 not be fish-people as well? Why also would a fish-race turn into fishermen? That's rather close to cannibalism.

Zen's leadership capability in and of itself is not being questioned - what is being questioned is his capability to follow Zormite tradition.

the fish head tradtion would be cool to see on 2k2, but i think the whole everyone's name starting with Z is kind of goofy, becuase the orignal king of zormite did not intend for it to happin : 0

The Zormite Traditions gave Zormite a orginal touch to it. However now its a Communist Flintstone Kingdom trying to be like Dustari to appeal to people. Its no longer orginal, it also has no traditions. Dustari, Samurai and Pirates still have their traditions, only Zormite strayed from the pact.

Its no longer orginal, it also has no traditions. Dustari, Samurai and Pirates still have their traditions, only Zormite strayed from the pact.
LOL.... First... I happen to LOVE the Flintstones and their ability to survive their era by "using their brains, ingenuity, and a little creativity" to be inventive with the items avaiable to them, to improve their quality of living...( I think this is what we call having the foresight and ability to technologically advance your civilization). so, um....... "Thanks for the Compliment!"

As far as a comunitist ruled society.... Because a nation is ruled by a Dictator does not qualify it to be communist. Look far back into the history of the Roman Empire. A civilization once ruled by a monarchy that, (you guessed it) turned to a Republic, ruled by a Dictator and Senate or (Governmental party)

Personally, I like the fact that Zen can look beyond the past.... and try different ideas. It simply means Zormite is not "stuck" in a mode of tunnel vision thinking, that insists that "Change" or new ideas are somehow bad, or "out of the question". Or that learning from the past and improving on the ideas and philosophies of our ancestors does not allow us to be "Original" The simple fact that we might have "Strayed from the pact" as you put it.... certainly says to me, that we have succeeded in becoming at the very least "Original"

How would you define Zormite as not respecting "work that was done by past leaders or Emperor's of GK2k1? Is every kingdom rule subject to follow the ruling pricipals of "leaders of the past?" Are new leaders, put into that position with no authority to try new ideas or create new methods of governing their kingdom during their rein? If this is the case, then there is no reason to have new leaders at all. We only need police to be sure that we are following a script of rules and regulations, and governmental systems set up in GK2k1 to be followed for all time. Why even called this GK2k2, and not GK2k1 "upgraded"

Well I'll try to respond as completely as possible to this thread...

First thing on my mind. The simple mechanics of Graal Kingdoms has forced me to adapt systems to coorespond with the enviornment which is presented. If there were no immigrants at all, then there would be no new members. How then, would I be able to recruit? The title of immigrant is just a formality really, and its purposes is nothing more than to be an added sense of realism. Nobody is required to hold the rank for longer than a 24 hour period...by that time they are no longer immigrants, so-to-speak. Its just a simple hailing method that I felt was nice.

I also find it amusing, that Torankusu now supports Zormite being a fish people again. When he was king, I was left to defend his policies, and when I did he supported me on the forums. It was decided that Zormites would be human, even before Torankusu was king. I was in Zormite from the very beginning on 2k2, Hippie was the first, there was like 2 between Hippie and Torankusu. One of them I was friends with and I feel bad for not remembering his name now...but they both werent around very long. While Toranksu was king, he only signed on when I asked him to help resolve some issue that was happening online and such. I recruited like everybody and made the first set of rules and refined a rank structure...

Additionally, Torankusu had not "quit" when I became king, at least he had not announced that he had. I was on AIM one day and several people were IM'ing me yelling at me to sign on Graal because the Zormites were rebelling against the king, and Projectshifter was talking to Stefan to convince him that leadership needed to change. I was 2nd in command so that just sort of happened.

On 2k1, I was in Elven lol. So? Just because I was not a part of Zormites early history, doesnt mean I shouldnt or cant be a part of its future. The thing of everybody starting their names with "Z" has no basis for argument. The fish people issue, well no I didnt feel it was that important, I admit. I also looked at it practially. If I was going to make it so we were our own race..I would need to make a wide selection of new bodys, legs, arms heads and horn/fin things for hair. I had planned on doing this for a while, and almost completed a zormite head set which fit the style of g2k2 and would be compatible with helmets, along with some nice horn/fin sets...I moved from California and there was a period in which I did not have access to the net and I lost all my work on that computer that I had produced over the last 2 years prior.. Me moving out to Tennessee was an uncontrollable and sudden situation. My parents have been divorced since I was in 5th grade and I have been forced to relocated more than once because of Child Protection Service interfering... I havent really felt that the project was that important, people seemed to be getting along great as is, I only seem to get complaints from outside of the kingdom, a small elitist group I suppose, that believes everything on 2k1 should be identical to 2k2.

The fish head you made Ghost pirate, well have you tried seeing how it looks with hair or a helmet on? Yea...

I can be a perfectionist about things sometimes, maybe to much so, and well I wouldnt want to use that head knowing it would clash with any helmets i might need to wear in the future. Also eh lol a whole fish body on somebody's shoulders never made since to me, I would just rather it looked believable.

I dont see how we are being viewed as a Dustari clone? How does that work? Tell me, please, how Zormite copied Dustari? Tell me also, why I would want to. We dont even have the same form of government. What I did was completely original and no other kingdom has done the like. I set up a political party, a political ideology (Archism, and it has a detailed deffinition as well) which explains why we have such changes, a constitution to finite the government's organization, our own religion. I mean please, you cant always stick with the past. Tradition maybe, but it should not mean that it limits you from innovation and improvement. I mean, the kingdom of Zormite was destroyed how many times on 2k1? I would most certainly not want to carry on whatever tradition(s) caused that to happen.

I have done alot for Zormite, I really have. I have tried to treat all my citizens fairly and make them feel welcome, and listen to what they have to say. I feel really horrible when there is problems within my kingdom, especially among friends who I trust and depend on, and I try to fix those problems to the best of my ability. To date, I am the longest reigning king on g2k2, I have really tried to keep the kingdom enjoyable and prosperous, it would start to become a drag on anybody, I would think, to maintain a kingdom in the same buggy game for 7+ months of their life. Much of the time when I am online, I am forced to just stand around and idle, and not enjoy the game myself running around advancing my character, I am oftentimes answering PMs or reading toguilds or taking care of my kingdom one way of the other. I do care about Zormite, truly and honestly. I believe that pretty much any member can testify that I have been good to my people, that I have gone out of my way to do so.

The Zormite Republic is doing well. The kingdom is still focused around its roots, holding the ocean sacred. Hehe we had members protesting the practice of eating any sort of fish when the new foods were released.

Ah also I have been home alone for closing in on a month now. Not a single family member even in-state. I have had to run around and take care of things, and I have really not even been home half of the time. Also, during the summers, I dont have to get up at a set time every day and I always tend to get into this pattern of insomania. I have been awake for like 25 hours as we speak. Woke up yesterday afternoon at 5pm. When I dont have to be somewhere at a certain time lol, I end up not ever going to bed until I just fall over from exhaustion. Eh well thats why I am probably not seen to much at normal times. I noticed earlier a comment saying I usually sign on around 11pm PST..well I'm in EST so thats like 2am here lol. Sounds about right XD

Besides, the Debug server being down so much lately has put off the release of the zormite sword, and has given me time to improve on it, making it its own weapon class with its own set of ganis.

If we refuse to read a reply to "accusations" then maybe you should not even bother to reply!!!!!!

Sorry, but that statement kinda **PISSED ME OFF".

I am already upset that Zen would feel he has to spend so much time defending his position!!! And then to have someone make that kind of negative comment.... ARG!!!

If his kingdom has NO PROBLEM with his "rule" than I see no reason for this "thread" to begin with!

I'm gonna cool off a bit, then reply to this later, because I don't want to say anything more while I'm still mad!

Personally I see no problem with the hair on the fish head along with helmets, they look find by my standards.

The fishhead with hair in the attahed screenshot looks fine.

At least you freely admit that you don't care about the Zormite Tradition.

The previous statement I quoted contradicts this. My problem is that you don't focus on your roots. The fact that you find it funny that some (and not all, as it should have been) of your kingdom members protested eating fish. *sigh*
