Npc Battle!!!!!

Two scripters R0bin Darkrune and Projectshifter are going to battle it out on this thread to see who you think is the best. After both battlers have posted there firsts scripts start voteing,but only untill they both post there 1st script. After all votes are in the battlers will then post a final script and final voteing shall begin. When voting say your comments and the battlers name you vote for. Please judge by scripts and no by if there your friend they wont hate you for voteing for the other person.

R0bin and I are talking on AIM. I want to make the same thing so that it's easier to judge and flat out shows. So any suggestions? BTW< I will put them up on Babylon so we can see an online test ;P

I made one too. You dont remember when G2K2 first came out they had system where you could set you s weapon as well as you d weapon. SO MAKE IT!!

I could do something like that... it would take longer than some other things, perhaps a few days depending on how long I get to work on it at home, but you want to do that or something else? Doesn't matter to meh.

*Has done that also, but with w,e,and d able to set weapons to, plus with revolving menus (nothing on them cause I couldn't think of what to put there) like in zelda OoT, and resizable menu (with mouse)*...

yeah but i just did this quick ya know. :-D

S and D are settable.

press Q to show the menu

press the up or down keys to set which key you are going to set

press the left or right buttons to change the weapons.

Bug:
if you press D while you're setting the second weapon, the orb turns red yet its still moveable :o

Ah, you sux0rz :P I just got home and only had 5 minutes worth of work on it! But you wait... I already have a cool part of mine done, and it's uberly cool

Mine isn't quite the same as yours, as to how you have it like that... I'll explain since yours is already done. And I need a gani for a person holding a staff, and swinging one, and holding and shooting a gun :P I have the regular weapons on 'D', but then you get to choose between Sword, Staff, Gun, etc. for things in the 'S' category. Where it isn't using the same NPC so to speak. gtg

I'm just about finished, I had a bit of time to work on it last night, mine isn't quite designed like r0bin's, and requires a bit more coding. But whatever, i need about 5 minutes to finish it when I get home tonight. It has the menu all done, and it'll set the S weapon (via string) and I just have to make it change the selectedweapon to 'D'. With the way I have 'S' put out I've gotta make a small little NPC that will control the different 'S' attacks. But about 5 minutes worth of work. If you want, I guess I could just put it up here now or I could finish, whatever you guys want.

Heh, you have a point Kai. Yes, r0bin I don't think yours involves very much, lol. And you just set the sword to no sword x.X Mine won't be 100% perfect since I dont' have any gani's for things I need, but it'll get the idea across. I used something to show the IMG's and such, and it's all stored in a single string. Like for bomb it looks for bomb.gif so it keeps things organized and you don't have to set 50 milliion strings for pointless things.

LOLz, I'm ready to post mine. There are two things to keep in mind.
1) The 'S' menu will set a string client.s to the value you choose. Because I didn't script the system to change your weapon, that's what it does. I'm sure you can figure out how to make the other, it is quite simple :P
2) The 'D' menu shouldn't be too hard to use either :P Use 'D' to set once you have the Q-Menu open. It uses a string client.weapons (would be Clientr. if i felt the need to use a triggeraction) and is where it reads the information from. Let me go get my script and the GIF with it (the gif is small and quite simple, I used Zoom
