Actually... how DO you pronounce Graal?

I've always said Graal like "Carl" but I have a feeling it should be like "grail". Anybody know for sure?

I pronounce it "grol", like "gr-all", cuz thats what it looked like to me when I first heard of it, then I learned more anout Graal and figured "graal" is also german for "grail". But I still say it like "gr-all"

I was just thinking, as I played Diablo 2, that if Baal can be said "Bail" then maybe so could Graal. I suppose the only one who can say for certain is Stefan.

If you ever played the playstation version, they had this stiory section (d1 that is) and it read the story aloud. The dude said "bail" so i guess thats it

"Grahl" but the "ah" is more like "aahh" ....."Graaghhl" lol.. it It should be Grail, because you know how on main the object was to get the 4 Graals... Grails as in Golden Cups.. lol

Back on Graal 1.38 i did a poll about this, and surprisingly, the majority of answers were the opposite /grail/. I do pronounce it /grawl/. Just look at the words aardvark. But then again, yes Baal is pronounced /bail/. I guess you can say it however you want, but the thing to remember is that it is indeed German (I'm German...but not quite as much as Stefan), in which it is pronounced /grawl/.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. I have that version (level 60 character y0!) and Diablo 2, and it says the same thing on the latter. But, since he's gonna be the main star in the next in the series, I'm guessing we'll have even more people mispronouncing a popular game's name (DIEablo, anyone?).
