Recommendation
Anyone that is not currently reset should probably log off the server and not log back on until further notice. I got a report of a Classic server starting to have Hard Drive Failures again and I don't want more people to be reset. Logging on will be up to you considering there is nothing I can do, but you probably shouldn't until told by Tig.

Ya, honestly players the best thing you can do to make sure you're not a casualty is to not log on to any servers if you know they're having issues. Logging on means data is going to be attempted to be retrieved, but it will fail and you'll most likely lose data.

Last time this happened the players that were on the server DURING the hard drive failures were reset. So if I can keep players off till we are all told otherwise will be the best situation. Some players on GK currently refuse to log and and they will be the ones complaining later. Please just stay off of the server until we notify you via the Forums.

I am still waiting on Stefan to reply back either here or in my PM. Some players have already logged back in, but for those of you that would rather wait it out until told something I will update when once I get the reply.

I'm assuming back-ups of the non-reset players have been made just in-case more cases like this pop-up from a recurring episode?

RAID is used for high availability (redundancy) and protects against certain types of hardware failures. It's not a backup and wouldn't have been useful in this situation. I would not be surprised if the drives are actually in a RAID array already.

We don't actually know if anyone is getting reset. I was told about the Hard Drive failures happening again. Zone was one of the servers so I just wanted to let everyone know. To log on is the players choice, but those not wanting to risk it should wait for Tig to get back or Stefan to reply.
