GK Auction

Tomorrow 4-20-2012 (Pot Day ) I will be doing a test run for a possible monthly item auction. I will only be doing one item though. There will also be a 1 EC entry fee.


How it works.

You will let me know if you would like to participate. I will take the 1EC (Only an EC not items of same value) before the event starts. After I have all of the buy in's I will summon you to the "Auction House" (Raffle Level). I will ask that you all take a seat and not to crowd the table. (This will help me see who is actually bidding.)


Start Time

2100 Server time. Right after the Point Events have ended.


What You Can Bid

Any item that you would like to bid towards the auctioned item. (Must be something you own!) The items you bid will be valued by either myself or another Trade Deputy. (Most likely Kale Vimes)


Auction Item For Tomorrow

I will be auctioning off a rare "Ancient Bamboo Stick".

Later next month is a really long time. Maybe an April 31st or 30th auction? That way we have something to look forward to all week.

The idea was for this to be once a month. Unless management will approve otherwise. The end of the month will will have the winners for the Point Events. This allows players to save up items so they actually have a chance at the auction.

I hope we can do weekly one item auctions. I can understand if it's a day of auctions with several, but saving up weekly is more exciting.

I would just say don't host off the same incredibly rare items all the time. Though with how much some are paying, who knows if they can afford to save up every week.

I think 1 big auction per month is good. Along with the monthly event point prize that's 2 pretty big items per month. If we auction the biggies every week we'd have 5 rares a month. Perma xmas idk about that.

yeah, for the normal playercount, not being 40 daily, I agree 1 month big auction is nice.

I'm assuming the first auction was a test, I think real auctions should have a few items being auctioned at once. I think that'd lead to lower prices aswell, seeing that you're not putting your all into one item.

Yeah, IMO there should be more than 1 item, and not all of them should be revealed, so that if you do choose to buy one item early on, you might not be able to afford another one that comes up, and by keeping all (or some) of the items secret, you wouldn't have everyone waiting to bet on a BoRD or something, they'd spend on a stack of 12 EAs, a RoW perhaps, then the BoRD comes out, then WHAM something really cool/new, that the guy who just bought BoRD can't afford anymore.

This is really starting to look good for the economy, so many items being shuffled out to replace all the influx of items coming in from Easter and other events. I like the concept of weekly/monthly auctions too.
