Lighting Effects

I have a problem with lighting effects. When i use setcolorefect, the NPC wont show up at all. When i use seteffect, it turns the whole screen into a solid color (Offline only), but works fine online (i suppose, unless G2k1 uses backpallets to do the day/night effect). Are there anyways around this? What do i need to get the good features to work?

Get a new graphics card. I have the same problem, except seteffect works for me. Possibly you're just doing it wrong offline.

i think thats the script...change the numbers in setcoloreffect for diffrent colors..BUT dont change the last number....and use light2.png as the img...

//#clientside

setcoloreffect 0,0,0,.5;
setzoomeffect 1;
drawaslight;
dontblock;
drawoverplayer;

Um... There's no such thing as "the script." The command is "setcoloreffect" and the parameters can be anything between 0 and 1. Same for seteffect.

You don't like the newbie saying wow?

Have you noticed you complain when it comes to me?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

He didn't ask for that. At the most, he asked how to achieve lighting effects. And anyway, seteffects are not backpals.
