Its just a slight alter of the grass... an easy task in MS Paint.
I use MS Paint for drawing and editing stuff, Photoshop for its blur tool, and Fireworks MX for transparencies and non-messy filetype conversions

And dirt, but it takes alot lot lot lot longer in paint. I could make a path which has diagonal lines going through it if I wanted to :P (and so it all joins up)
