Well With my server being down I will get to work on storyboarding and fixing some graphic errors. I will post more of my progress l8r as I need to shower and get ready for work now. Hopefully stefan will fix my server soon but if he doesnt that's fine because I have alot of story line to get ready and map out. Event sequencing is key!!!

*Edit* I noticed my posts finaly hit 500 so i made me an avatar like it?

Don't use the same image though (well the same image rotated), look at the picture I drew to see how, IMO, the directions should look. Hmm, this waterfall is pretty...

I dunno why you'd need to see that, but it is really pretty, well actually St. Bernadette's is prettier, but I don't feel like searching for that one...

Thank you thats what I will do I will just have to find a way to make the stupid thing save on jasc without screwing up the colors
Any freeware gif saving programs out there that work good?
or any p2 i mean pay ones that are good? Jasc optimizes too much and I don't do animations much

I started playing around with terrain yesterday because I never had before and I made a tileset for it also heheh
It wont be used for the server levels however it may make a nice mini game or something.

The attach thing works quite good, it's recommended to use that if you want to easily edit your animations. You can attach on top (ATTACHSPRITE) and below the sprite (ATTACHSPRITE2), never had problems with that on Kingdoms.

About Fear:
The character looks quite amazing

Wow ATTACHSPRITE2 I didnt know that thanks that helps alot now I dont have my previous problems heheh.
And thanks Justin made the original body graphic I just finished them up (fixed the pixel errors too) and organized them lolz I also made some variations of the bodies such as race and sickness ect...

Below attached is a snap of the tileset I made (The idea for it came from windwaker) and also a diff character body.

UPDATES:
Created body variations / ethnic variations
Im working on God's Level Path NPC
- This npc does everything you can imagine to a level. It's almost done!!! Its probably one of the hardest things I have ever scripted because it is so comprehensive its almost insane. I will give an example of a level created with it, The main thing now is testing different values with the random seeds that im using. Although its no substitute for hand tiling it can probably reduce the ammount of time to tile a level by 80 or more % depending on how indepth you plan on getting. The water on water part is the most painfull because you have 2 tiles for water sides and then you have to do all those freakin calculations for placing tiles its making my head hurt.
It does things in this order through the whole level with one click
- Paths dirt into grass
- Paths grass into grass
- Paths grass onto grass
- Paths deep water onto water ( I may just drop this out and make a seperate path npc for it)
- Adds 1x1 variation tiles ( water rock / grass scraps / weeds / blah)
- Adds almost all predefined objects as well as defined ones that I have created @ a random rate all about level.
( all of this is added @ a random rate of course)
The hardest part so far has been the pathing because it doesnt involve mouse dragging interaction it has to decide a route to take a kind of A. Im doing it mostly in random sized rectangles usualy smaller than 30x30 because of it interfering with other things too much that can all be changed later depending on how much of what I want where.
*END rant* err updates

Interesting,But when you use that one click level editing, Doesn't the 'Half Grass' Still show there when you use other objects in a level?
Also its a sign of Lazyness, Don't use it all on "Fear" Mabie a few levels, I would like to see this server .

??? Kinda confused me ? I can make it remove the halfgrass if I want I could even make a path npc to remove all half grass from a level. Is that what you mean?

Lazzy? try making that npc!! j/k
Pretty much all the levels on Fear are hand tiled many by such people as mmmmkay / shadowless / me / Spanky / and some more.
I'm trying to get an outline built on the other big island using this method to quicken things I still have to go back and change things arround (hand tile them) and make them look alot better but its a whole heck of alot easier to finish up tiling a level when it looks like this to start with

See below

That whole level I posted was just
ONE click (objects, paths , everything)
well 2 cause the beachsidepather is a second npc
And I used the sandpath2 to fill in the gaps between the beachside and the other sections

Made me a new Pathing npc that does sand 3 different ways at once and reverses them for a total of 6 variations in tiling.
Looks kinda nice what you think?

That looks interesting, as if it is rising on one side but the other side looks like a crater... or atleast to me it looks like that.
