GTA Management.....wait. What Management?

okay the topic and Zeros thread explains everything. basically, we have no manager, we haven't had a manager for years. let me guess your going to say Tyhm is our manager. well. He probably isn't even in the RC Logs. WE NEED A MANAGER WHO IS DEDICATED COME ON. Watch me get banned for posting this, just like he banned DC for giving out his aim

I totally Agree with you, GTA needs a manager but I don't think you can get a manager in a second it takes time (again)..

Hm..Tyhm is GM so he sort of is a global manager ;x Whether or not he handles the role more specifically for GTA I see more benefit then harm in appointing someone else below him as assistant especially whilst inactive (and well; it's neccessary right now.) I guess Spark will have to talk to Unix about this. Hm...listing a couple potential candidates would be helpful ;x I believe Lyndzey would be a good choice although she hasn't been too active on player there recently. Hm......

They should premote someone like Stryker or Kino. Being that have the highest level'd RC and have the best management skills.

Urban, Kino and Stryker already got there position, I agree with Chris, someone like Lyndzey has the skills to do it, but I don't think that will work becuase she has a other job to.

What about Master Storm? He seems to be trying hard to get Stefan to appoint him as head LAT or something

x.x I love Lyndzey, she rocks but the same reason as Spark, we don't need more globals, they have enough work and wont be able to pull the weight

I think Storm would be great

Ah ok. I thought you were interested. Classic is kinda huge so it'll be hard to find someone capable of managing it.

I dislike the size of classic, as updates aren't noticed as much so players may think nothings changed and log straight back off

Master Storm states that he does indeed have his own server, but that he only co owns it. He wishes to express that having a server has never stopped him being active as a GP, and has the head and management skills to make a fine Manager if he was give the opportunity. He would like to thank everyone who has supported him in this thread.

Classic (no offense..well actually take it as an offense and flame me like a mad cow) sucks and has a slim chance of being saved. I mean look at it, the levels are outdated, some of us have NOTHING to do there, and I still wonder why it's still up. -_-;

What classic needs is a good manager, but its not only the manager that will save it. You need people with good ideas, good level skills, an npc server, leet scripts, good gfx, and level facelifts. However, I know how oldbies to a server feel so changes will be regarded as evil by some.

For those of you who say managing classic is easy need to think about one thing. Your not taking over a server thats already healthy. Your taking on problems that have existed for a long time and will be blamed for those problems.

Whoever takes over, and I feel it needs to be someone like Masterstorm who actually plays the server consistantly and needs to be willing to devote most of their time and energies into solving its problems. If you need a second candidate that is capable of the organization skills and has the ability to motivate then Sting is another possibility though I don't know if he's interested in the job.

Please forget the idea of a new classic, there is no such thing. Classic is classic. Yes, the oldbies are opinionated but contrary to popular belief not completely without compromise. I think you'll find the reason for their stubborness is nobody bothers to ask them their ideas on a change, its just pushed onto them.

Now get to it, get this management mess sorted so progress can be made! Talking it to death isn't gonna solve anything.

Yes i truely know how that is, when i took over Babylon i had to work with all of the problems it had, i had just got allong to solving them as well, when Nemesis came and messed things up. This is a great point and anyone considering it should take notice.

Wow, thanks for that enlightenment, none of this occured to me as I typed my posts because I don''t actually think. Thinking is silly. (end sarcasm)

I have been there since the problems started, im well aware of what needs to be done (including solutions to the exploits i easily capatilized on)

Why? Some people stopped playing because no one is doing anything. That doesn't mean they wouldn't be devoted to fixing it. That only means they aren't devoted to the nonadvancing GTA that exists at the time.

I said new classic sarcastically. I posted my start of a solution in another thread. And yes, the players opinions do matter. A lot of the old people left because they didn't like the changes.

As for "sorting this management mess" it is clearly out of our hands. We can only hope some higher power steps up and starts calling shots.

Graal The Adventure is a great server. It's probably one of the only Classic playerworlds with something to do, and quest that actually take time to do. With most of the staff being GPs and FAQs, the server probably has few updates but still, the server is a fun place to play on. But back to the topic, Master Storm, he is current GP Admin. I've known him for little time and seen his server and also seen him on the Classic Development server where I was helping NPC Server conversion, but out of all that time, I've talked to Master Storm time to time. He is a good person, great GP Admin. He knows how to keep the old classic styles of the levels, he knows a great sum about scripting and gani making. He even makes a few great movies time to time. Classic Graal could make a great development with Master Storm as Manager. He is probably the best choice I can think of to see some more things on Classic. I support Master Storm 100% of the way for Management of Graal The Adventure.

Retarded idea, I'm even against Spark super modding these forums.

No one should have more then one job, no matter how well they do both, they both will take time and both jobs will not have the persons full time.

Having an active manager probably wouldn't catalyze anything. The only real effect would be more or less abuses by staff. The other affect, though, is something that would definately help Classic out. A PRESENCE.

Since I have begun playing Graal, I have seen Tyhm on maybe 10 times. Two times before the Cypher/Devas thing, during the Cypher/Devas thing, during the Nemesis thing, during the Soul thing, and then a few other times to give rights to people. Tyhm has NO PRESENCE. The presence of a manager might settle down the Classic-ites from their anarchy/state of boredom.

Master Storm wants me to endorse him. :P
I endorse... hmmmmm.... Storm is the most responsible person I can think of. Kat would have gladly pounced on any chance to ban me that he could. That and Storm is knowledgable in programming, does not have any majorly obligating prior engagements, isn't too skeptical, and has respect from the players.

I really should be FAQ Admin on Classic, but instead right now I'm LAT workhorse... And my god... I can't believe that these people are so friggen slow at converting levels. I've gone through like 150 in one week... It's not hard... Especially with the map levels. Malinko has been doing CC, and in that time span I've gone through the mapped Avalon, Dragon's Isle, Floydia, Graal City, Swamp Town, Destiny Desert, Dark Forest, Master Li's Area, Delta, and a couple of playerhouses.

"b) It might as well be the same diffrence, in the playerworld application it said you must quit jobs at any server"

Wrong again: "*You must be willing and must to quit any job you have with a playerworld at this moment in time, should you get offered (you don’t have to take it) the job and take it."
