My server will be magic based there will be wands, spells and so forth. Only for the first time in probably gaming history I am making a server where you actually have to say and memorize the spells on your own time. There will be probably hundreds of spells, which is why I need many gani, gfx and EXCELLENT scripters. Cool, would also make a use for playerworld fansites, so people could share and list all the spells they know and where the people can learn to cast them.

It would be kind of weird if someone could just find out the words for the strongest spell available and be able to just copy and paste it to kill a horde of man-eating, level 100 zombies.

Why waste your money in TWO Situations, Paying people, and buying a server.

Its hard to tell if your server would EVER go up.

hehe, "excellent scripters", you just need fanciful animations with triggers not that that's bad

meh, sounds good, but you'd be better off with a less restricting theme. There are only so many people that like being wizards. Then again, if you have people with conventional weaponry, you'll have to boost your wizards' HP to keep balance in fighting...

I could be wrong, because i've rarely ever played valikorlia for very long, but didn't they at one point have some system where you say a certain combo of words (like aero means air, and kablammo! means explode, etc) to cast a spell?

I didn't really mean it like that...

I ment that I haven't experianced it being that hard to go public, you just have to have a good basis for ideas and some skilled scripters and you are fine.

Since there are so few good scripters in Graal nowadays, yes. Well, in comparison to the number of otherwise talented.

I can see this happening but the idea is going to need alot more work. memorzing spells isnt enough for a top notch server these days your going to have to offer something else that no one has and more power to you if that can be a visual thing like having diagonal body sprites and fancy tiles maybe a new perspective. These are the things the players go for.

If you want this to suceed you need to plan everything out down to the last detail on a note book. Next after you edit and tweak your design until and aprove of it you have a original complex world of its own kind of feel. Now you can look around and see who has developmental talent and if you like their style and think they are hard working go ahead and hire them.

Good luck though most of the talented people are already currently up to their neck in job offers and are always on demand. But their desire for money might be your sucess.
