Seriously, what the heck?

I'm seeing people like WaterLord practically WARP across the screen and casting about 5 bullets a second, and I'm on a fairly fast computer with broadband.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that quite unusual? I've seen people with higher levels that don't go that fast, so what's up with this. If this is actually possible to begin with, there really needs to be a cap on speed. I cast a spell at someone, he runs all the way around that person in time to block the spell. That's kind of odd. Either the speed of people should decrease or spells should move faster.

I myself have been pretty fast. Witha dragon amulet, 30 dex, and two RoTs, I've been faster than 5 speed, and with some of the other speed enhancing items around, you could get more (unfortunately at that speed, berwean chain slows you down :o)

No. There is a speed trainer and many, many people use it. Though I am not accusing him of using it (cause I haven't seen him first hand) but I have seen some others who have used it and I am quite disappointed. One guy even admitted he used it and his account was Kane88. He told me "I don't use it constantly, only when I want to get across the map in a flash".

It'd be nice if there were admins on there soon, I told someone to stop swearing in messages and people started bashing me in masses.

Yep, that very same account I have seen using speed trainer. Its easy to tell when they are using one. Their char moves weird. Like they move fast but take less steps than usual. Its difficult to explain. Once you see it happen you'll understand.

I have 3.5 speed, and I was using heavy rods of bullet and icestorm.
When you use a heavy rod, it does not require the usual casting animation, the spell just sort of casts without it. I tried explaining this, but you insisted that I was using a speed trainer. As I said before, don't go around making such accusations until you've spent more than 30 hours on a server.

Of all servers, Kingdoms should be the easiest to be able to detect the use of speed trainers on..
I don't know why noone's worked on this before.

It's not easy to detect speed hacking on client-side, Graal uses 3 different techniques to detect it but cheating tools are getting better and better.
But it's possible to detect speed hacking on server-side, because those clients send way more data packages than normal ones. We can start with some speed-hack-detecting that logs it or warns RCs about it, and if it works good it can possibly auto-disconnect or jailing.
I have never seen anyone on any server doing speed hacks (most servers have staff-tools for fast movement), probably people hide when I come

Sorry bud, but there is a cenor, and no one cares about bashing anyone. Your not any more speical than anyone else. And some rods can cast spells fast like heavy rod of...and also he could have buffed his stats with spells, and wear row's or something.

1)The censor does not block out certain words, and in my opinion NOBODY should have to put up with the garbage that goes on there. I just hope that things start changing, because the server is way worse than UN ever was in terms of people bashing in mass messages. It's being ruined by immature people, like you, who seem to think that this behavior is "okay".
2)I realise this since people have said it previously in this thread.

I quit anyway, this isn't worth it.

Snakeandy7, who was never a smart guy anyway, PKed me and then camped my respawn. Effectively screwing me. This server is about stats, it's not worth wasting my time on. I have no items left. The harassment and crap is rampant here. I was trying to sell stuff and lost my brutal, immense, level 4, level 2 and diamond. This isn't much for some people, but I'm level 10. It's alot to me.
I had some fun at the beginning, but it has become apparent that having fun now would mean working for hours to get back what I've lost. I don't think I want to go all that way just to be killed and have my stuff stolen again. Thanks for some people that helped me out.

See?
This is what a lot of people think, most just don't use the forums/dont bother complaining about it because noone ever listens; i brought up the issue a while ago in a new thread and brought the user agreement into it ( ), protagonist, and argued my case for a while, but the result was that tseng just doesn't see what these *****s do as harrassment and then got bored and so he closed the thread, as is the 'textbook of tseng' proceedure :o

I agree you can PK someone with b-mode on, it makes you open game, but you should not be able to camp their restart point. Or PK in the trade center. That's just BS lameness. I lost everything that had a slight amount of value to me because of lamers.

The obvious solution is to have a location on the main island to turn on/off PK mode.

It can get even worse - for some reason, you are vulnerable at the restart point outside the arenas - at least the one near Bomboria. This way, all you have to do to smap everyone's screen is to lure a newbie in there, kill him, then start the flood...

(I only read the firstpage of this thread)

From what I see, it would be interesting and helpfull to have you as an admin. I see you as a player up to date with everything...so you would be an admin who "competes" (economically, exp-wise, etc...) while administrating problems and such. The reason this is beneficial is because you have an inside (in the game) while still having an outside (administration that doesn't play the game obviously...) perspective....So you can relate to each problem and understand things and know what's reasonable and what's not. Normally, I'm against this (an active competing player being staff), but it works quite well in this case as oppose to others. (Other examples [of a bad situation] would be if someone has absolute administrative power on a server and is also a king of a competing kingdom...that doesn't work well IMHO). As long as you don't involve yourself more in the game than you already are, I think it would be cool. (that is... you don't try to become the strongest character, and be sparring and PKing people... or if RPing ever comes back; NOT trying to be a high-ranking official and involve yourself much in the RPing...).

And since I bring up RPing, an RPing admin would be helpfull too... maybe we can drag back some old comrades to the community *looks in the distance and sees the ghost of a pirate playing something else*...Jeez, why do so many people leave? What do you people do to them? x.x

First, most people leave because they lose interest - not because they're driven away. And, if we have a RP-Admin - what then? Will he go arround and yell at people who don't rp? You can't force people, you have to encourage them, and everyone can do that on a kingdom-level.

Kingdom leaders should have the responsibility of having good RPing environments. The RP administrator should be making sure this is all going well at the very least :]

He'll yell at people who don't RP when they should. And he should be a sort of referee in a war.

I'd rather have a proper system for that - preventing respawns, or limiting them to once a battle or day for proper wars which should last longer than a few hours; define combat zones; etc, etc. Have a player handle that, and you'll not only ask too much from a single being, being everywhere battles are taking place, but you'll also have a possibility of corruption, or complains about such.
