While prozac isnt too clued up on serverside scripting, he knows alot about math and all the other things you need to be a good scripter.

He also made every single string on Zone client., which enables practically anyone with the right tools to edit their strings. He also made the hit detection clientside.

isnt there a way that the graal client can protect its memory so that it cant be edited?

Like test to see if the memory is different from when the client last set it, and if it is, it should terminate, that would be good.

No, there are plenty of ways to do it for static variables (Graal checks at startup, and the server checks when you login)

It should probably be checked all the time in a loop though.


As for edited strings clientside, thats not very possible, since its dynamic.

A few people told me they had trainers that could edit client.strings and also said that there are others out there that loads all client.strings on the server.

I wasn't too sure about this so I asked Tseng about it a few months ago and below is what he said.

client.strings can be edited clientside (including offline-mode trainers), and the server trusts the changes made to these by the client.

clientr.strings cannot be changed clientside at all - the server will not accept such changes from the client. clientr.strings are advisable for anything that you don't want people to cheat with; client.strings should be used when it's feasible to do so
