soon, when we run out of room in the park
when people are clearing room to build thiers, they will be jailed...
so therefore, build now or forever hold your peace

and Fai, you can always ask the few real oldbies who are left if the potential lier's story is legit

You should auction some more to people who dont have any bomies yet, because people who have 1 already really don't need any more, unless they seriously want to change their species, which brings up another idea: Have a potion that you can buy for 500 in a shed next to Merchants (God knows what that place is for) And you use it on your bomy and it says "What species should I become?" and you say "Shroomy 5" and its a shroomy 5. Also you should sell bomies of people that have things like "Get the hell away ***." or "Go to http://www.sexyfun.net" or whatever...

But the whole bomy idea wouldn't be as good, you could just sell some bomy off the street corner and change it, that doesn't sound like much fun, even though it would make it easier, I like having things the way they are.

Administration

The problem isn't new things. Many new things are going up all the time, making the game have more and more potential, and livening things up. The problem is that the administration is too unorganized and underexperienced to handle the new things, and therefore, they get abused / ruined.

Nowadays everyone (almost) is an admin. I remember opening my playerlist the other day and seeing the entire staff section covering the default window size, which is horrible. I'd suggest bringing Graalian Police to Graal 2001, and having all the other teams run under them, without being on the Staff list.

There's no reason events team needs to be on the Staff list, all they do is run events. Maybe that is important, but if players can't have fun without needing someone there to set up the fun then you lose a lot of potential. However, if players could walk into somewhere and play something just themselves even it would be fun. Work on replay value without needing human supervision. People are always going to screw things up.

A solution for now: Since it's probably very hard to change things without starting over at this point, start by hiring a few very experienced administrators to oversee everything. They need to be responsible, and possibly reviewed by several people you know instead of just 1 person (eliminate the buddy system of hiring admins). Once you have your head admins, they can take care of hiring and firing lesser staff positions (which shouldn't be in staff section) such as ET, FAQ, Police, and whatnot. Make a more organized staff system, instead of just new features, and I'm almost sure it could solve some problems.

I think there should be some oldbies doing the more
complicate things (survivor, team tournaments) and
leading a big group of people getting the
(Events Team) tag for starting the races etc.

Money will not be given out anymore, events should be
just for fun, or some person donates something
(can also be an item, not always money!).

The railroad made the graal 2001 become one of the worst level design ever in my opinion.
Graal 2001 was really fun when i started playing it, but now, there are hardly any events, and those railroads look terrible.
What were you guys thinking when you created those railroads.

No no, the railroad tracks are fine and dandy, but there are some people who just randomly lay non-connecting railroad tracks everywhere, which makes the levels look bad.

Ah ok you mean the railroad park
Hmmm I could make it so that you can
only lay railroad tracks when they fit to
an existing rail

A better way to introduce railroads would have been to give the tools out, but make them cost money, and have some goal.

In other words, you'd have to get people to pay for materials, then have them crafted into different parts of tracks...they'd then bring those to the people building the train track, who would connect them to previous tracks (instead of laying them anywhere) and try to build the train tracks somewhere. All of Graal could have been working together to say, build a cross-country railroad from Antora to the Swamp in the south, with maybe some reward once it's finished. Some reason to build a train track that long for. And it would have to take longer too...not the simple few minutes it takes to lay down a bunch of track right now.

Instead tracks were stuck all over out of the blue, with not even a reason as to why they were put there. Typicial of Graal...but still, very arbitrary and unprofessional (if you'd like me to use that word)

Don't right understand what you mean with your
last comments, the new tracks are planned out
and have a sense

The thing with building tracks which cost money
sounds good when you hear it for the first time,
but there would be tons of problem, so I decided
to not make it so. Problems:
- people build tracks which don't fit; they would need
to be removed, but the owner has worked a lot for
it and would be very angry if it gets removed even if he
gets back some iron that he need to pay for building
the track
- while building tracks is fun, they always look
misplaced if you don't do it with level editor
- such big tracks like from mount antora to santerrain
mean a lot of npcs, but when placed with the
railroad tool they are dynamic objects, meaning
abuse of database space and npcserver work,
so its better to directly add them with level editor
if it gets big
- if someone has payed for building the railroad tracks
he wants to get some money by charging for railroad
use, but then it's not really fun to use the tracks anymore
if its just shorten the way (imagine railroad tracks never
used)
- good railroad tracks need stuff like train stations
and may be fences, both not easy to make with the
railroad tool

Still, it would be nice to have some reason they just appear. Maybe some contruction workers or railroad workers for a day or two when you make something new instead of this just pop-up thing. The fish quest was actually pretty good, because it had a story, or at least some reason things were there.

hmmm....

Some what agree

I kinda agree...i think that graal hs gone downhill..funny thou i till seem to play it But i think some things have got outa hand...I was having a great time the other day deletin tracks....(and the last time ill do that) and funny enough i got jailed ..I think police rin it abit because they spoil some fun pking and being 'naughty' lol and i just think theres not eought fredom. Lots of people are on 2k1 i dont know....I got called a hacker and almost jailed by a n00b to 2k1 yesterday for hacking in CT! he said i was cheating cause i was using NPC's yes i know its sad. On top of that he said i was cheating cause i shot him with fireball and it shoud only take of .5 but itobviously takes of 1 full heart....He almos got me jailed thou. Then u have to chat with Police to let you out!! Mafukie put me in jail the otherday and when i cameout i had my rating reset...i dont know how. But someone toyed with it. it was at like 1800/84 or somethin and i had to spar and get it back it sucked. It was nice when everything was fresh. I guess it has gone down hill because we now know and areuse to alot of things...Speaking myself i have been on 2k1 sine like a week ater release. I just mucked around with the forums last night

Well thats just my thoghts.

i voted uphill
graal 2001 is clearly getting better it's just that a lot of the police and events team can make things unpleasant for some people
i suggest new ET chiefs ( i think ONE or TWO chiefs, not 4) like Brady or Cloud X or someone a bit trustworthy and police seems to be in good hands though
Stefan, the PW review and stuff teams should not be allowed to work on or own any playerworlds because the playerworlds basically all suck and they'd be biased
i recommend getting a whole new team of people with Vermain (freddyfox) as head of the team and he could choose his team members

I quit Graal2001 a month or two ago, but I didn't quit because of the game itself. When I left I thought the game was great, mining was a good idea (exept for the whole finger numbing button pushing lol) and many other things.

I don't think any server even almost compares to Graal2001 right now.

Cool well

I think 2001 is going uphill...

it is getting more people (I mean yes more lag but more people are trying it out)...

and also like he is creating new things like every other day...

it is getting really nice... and he is filling out the space slowly but surly

Tyhm has a spectacular aura about
The older a server is, the more players think it used to be better...back before they saw everything. Everything's cooler when you're new to it, that's why games sell so well. If they were constantly as cool as when you first got it, you'd never buy another game; if they were constantly as uncool as when you beat it the third time, you'd never buy it to begin with.

Sure, there are more people = more lag but that is a small price to pay for the many things to actually do on the server. Keep bringing in new ideas!

1. We don't have good first impressions of you because of this post.
2. Learn to type in english. I suggest going to www.hinorei.com/spelling.html and www.rottencat.com/grammar/. You'll find both of the sites very useful.
3. Slang is very stupid. "Getta decent computer, it ain't hard to git! Mah friend had a 400 mhz comp. and he don't lag at all!" Don't be a hick. Just... don't.
4. If you want to complain about us, you're doing more complaining than we ever did.

hey fai, im an ET, and guess what: i work on g2k1 to make money, then you know what i do with it? i hold events. ive NEVER gotten ET money, its always been my own money...today when cloud was saying only events from 30-50g, i held a 300g event of survivor and a horse race for 100g...i told him if he doesnt like me having quality events and quality prizes, then kick me out of ET and i will hold my events anyway...and you say we are *****s? i agree, the rest are selfish care only for there own riches, and will do anything to get more...but dont say all the ET are *****s because i try hard to make good events, and by you saying that it makes me think no one cares about all the events i hold...
