Who maintains these?

(To be frank: I'm looking to get head893.gif removed (It is an invisible head).)

hmm.. there should be a server option to disable it anyway.

It doesn't exist anymore, to a certain extent. There is a folder linked on the classic server to the 'global' heads, swords, and shields. However, it is only global to the servers that share the same computer as classic.

I thought Zen handled that but er anyway...who-ever is doing it is doing a pretty lousy job...there's a million and one global heads,shield, etc that should be removed for copy-right reasons >_>

ROFL! Highly incorrect. He never even managed that folder at all. Only local head images. ...not that he's still in commission as of now.

...and WTF, are you guys saying the heads on Classic are shared between all GServers running on the same computer as Classic's GServer? If that's the case, I have access to the folder.

Try putting a head on it then going on N-Pulse and try it on ;o

In fact, I just did, except with Unholy Nation. I went on UN, set my head to head893.gif. It worked. I went on Classic RC, removed that head from the folder, tried it on UN again, and poof, no head. I readded it btw. I'm not exactly sure if I should be removing heads from this folder in the first place, so... I'm not going to until I find out from Tyhm.

You need to calm down bud.

Anyway, there should be head/shield/sword/body thing on the website again, so the Graal Admins can edit the global ones. Then on each server you can have your local ones.

Also, you should be able to make globalheads true/false on your server, because I know on some servers they have it scripted so you can only have certian heads, but it would be nicer if you didn't have to script it.

Personally I believe PW local heads shouldn't even exist ._. It just makes the PWA and GGT job harder and I don't see why having it uploaded globally would be a problem.

Having it uploaded globally would save space, but then again some team of people would have to go through all those heads to make sure that the transparency and what not is set correctly, of course given the fact that they actually want to check it. It could take days before a particular head is actually uploaded.

Well Jagen did say they have to be on the same local computer. I believe Graal2001, Kindoms, Classic, and UN are on the same computer; of course I could be mistaken.

Oh well, it was annoying on Classic too. It makes me wonder if one server on each computer running GServers has the global heads for all of the servers though.

Take out the "T" in GGT ._. It's basically a 1 man team and the admin e_e I haven't seen anyone doing jack squat besides me recently. Ramirez, if possibly you could give me rw to that folder and I could check over things wanting to be uploaded weekly or so and have all the copyright stuff removed myself rather than having to report and rely on Zen 24/7 who isn't always around.

Kind of pointless... since the folder only works on one computer, and the linking to it should really be removed I think, or at least made so it has a point, meaning on every server

Of course not.

Chris, Jagen is right, it's only for a few servers, not ALL of them, so that would be pointless.

I also agree that linkage to it like that should be removed.

Making it work with all servers (like Jagen also implied could work) then having my suggestion (PW local heads and such not even existing) follow up would work quite well but that could be too much hassle in the short run and will most likely not happen so I agree also on having linkage to the directory removed as it is almost pointless currently but after the copyright crap is removed ;x

Its simple to organize. Stefan releases an update to delete all heads etc in your folders on your computer (sucks doesn't it?) and then the new change will take place.

The global graphics will be numbered(heads) except for mabey a few shields/swords. The local graphics made by each playerworld should be named playerworldname_headname.gif/.png/.mng.

This way we dont have people complaining from other playerworlds that someone is uploading a graphic that overwrites theirs.

People use invisible heads and bodies on Era, with invisible nicknames to make it hard to see them. I've been removing them as they come, but I cannot remove global images.

Other than that, the plan is that there is a set of global graphics that is not going to be extended, and thus the need for a maintainer is not considered high enough to justify such a position.

The .png version is correct; only the .gif version lacks a proper transparency definition. Nice eye about the spaces, however.

The latter most likely isn't gong to be executed as efficiently as you might want to think. Though I could be wrong. It mostly depends on the GGT (and if you haven't already known, they aren't something that you should really depend on anymore.)
