before anyone says "please stop it with all these threads about the guild system" i'd just like to say 2 things..

1. it's been at least 2 or 3 weeks since the last thread complaining about the guild system
2. Unix said that the guilds system, and the VIP forums would be his goal for this month... there is UNDER a week left in august, and i have yet to see EITHER of those things
=/

Yep in that time unixmad has been on the forums at least once or twice but we've still heard no word about it. What gives? I understand the tremendous workload he has to deal with, but this is getting a little ridiculous....If it's really that overwhelming there comes a point where you must realize "hey, I can't do this all by myself. I need help." That's all I really have to say about it.

Could we perhaps move the g2k1 guilds forum up to the general section?

It scares me how long it takes to code a guilds system.

Well Nova was giving everyone the impression it could be done in a few hours, but I don't really believe him.

all we need is the 'edit member info' page to work
=X
it's not like we need the whole thing re-scripted!

with that 1 page working, we could promote/demote, and delete members again.

I was pretty sure you can. Try 2 things
1. Copy and paste the name to the nickname box. Just save regardless of what shows up. And have that nickname saved somewhere so you can copy and paste it into Graal, to set it as your nickname. Try it with the tag.
2. Type in the nickname in the box (using the alt codes...), and then try to use the same thing on Graal.

I like the current guild system, they just need to finish the edit member info button (and i suspect it's much more than a simple button but entire databases and what not to be made - but still).

Well I think the point that ETD was making is that unixmad is not following through with what he said. If this system was truly a priority to him it would likely be finished (or if not, we would at least get some sort of update as to its status).

The current system relies too much on JavaScript, from what I have seen.

Spark910 has a spectacular aura about
We should have a general Guild section, not just a 2001 one. So all guids can be talked about there, and 2001 ones will probably be all global guilds now, mostly?

Unixmad at first expressed guilds to be a priority but after the fact he has ignored me and Angel's request todo the guilds systems which could have taken one to two days at most to complete it is now apparent he is no longer interested.

Must you TRY to bash them every single possible chance you get? We get the point that you wanted to do the guilds, and I personally don't give a sh*t, you were turned down, live with it.

He was referring to the fact you have make it a point to critisize them in every way you can, not only guilds.

oh no, the s t f uwith STARS around them, I'm scared now

and if you want to be b*tchy like that one could argue and say the guild system is up, nowhere does it say a working and fully functional guild system gives you the right to remove members, so in a sense the service is completed. I would have thought you were critisizing them if you didn't do it on most of your posts, I think everyone here got the message that you weren't happy with unixmad deciding to not let you work on it, you don't have to post about it every single time the topic comes up. Unixmad most likely has a busy schedule, graal isn't the only thing that he does for money, you have no right in saying he is 'no longer interested'

When you registered your account, you agreed to the ToS and Rules, though, even if you did pay for it.

The guild system is not a guild system unless it functions. As a side note, people who do business that way don't get very far. I don't know why the guild system keeps changing like it has been, I would think it more logical to first test a guild system and modify it until it works while leaving a simplified working system activated to minimize complaints.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. SHUT UP NOVA! We don't care! If you are so sure you can make a working guild system in such a short amount of time, then MAKE IT. You can make the framework without a database as far as I know. So instead of *****ing and moaning all the time DO SOMETHING...Jeez...

I agree. If they're too busy since they have other things to do if Graal doesn't pay for anything (bills, etc), they should work to get to a place where Graal can do so. For example, making GK be attractive to new players (a reset is the quickest, laziest, and easiest way for this, a non-reset just keeps problems) would help. And cutting the cord to the free-loading players. I pay yearly for Graal. I won't mind. Many people on these forums won't either. But if they think raising the price to $10-12 a month will fix problems, they're crazy (saying this because one could interpret my message to suggest such) since more professionally made games charge as much or less.

Superb when you start acting your age and not your shoe size ill respond to you until then your not worth it.

Yeah in anycase what me and ziro are trying to get past is alot of us are paying for services and have waited some time. Not JUST GUILDS were also talking about VIP forums (then some of us wont have to putup with all the immaturity as most kids arent gonna be expected to shell out extra cash for private forums) and various other things it just seems unixmad keeps hoping from project to project without really finishing much. Oh I am sorry he got playerworld hosting up incase you all thought he scripted graal.net on his own its actually a opensource script available at www.sourceforge.net. We all know he didnt do the website (he had someone else do it) so what is getting done? thats all were asking there are hardly any updates its spread across months. I refuse to renew my VIP and im sure hardly any will renew their vip until we get the stuff we were told on forums and on the signup page we would get.

Dude, he's about five hundred times as mature as you. And, that still doesn't say much for how mature he is, becuase he's still more mature than that.

Boo-hoo, you don't have a private place to be an incompetent fool. Considering you are one of the most immature people I have seen on the forums in several time, perhaps it's a good thing there aren't VIP forums that you can access.

That's great. No one is forcing you to.
I honestly don't see what the fuss is about. Okay, understandable, this has taken a long time, but people make it out to sound like all hell is going to be unleashed upon us simply because there is some coding that has been put aside.

The problem posed here is that if they were told they would get something for their money, it's only right they get it. It's not a question of how they use it, it's a question of whether they recieve what was promised.

I would certainly like for there to be a working guild system and VIP forums, since both should only take a week or so together.

The fuss is about business ethics. There are alot of things going on behind the scenes, Graal 3.0 is being scripted and all that. But the reasonable paying customers needs to be appeased, that is what business is all about.

here is the basic rundown since CyberJouerers and Graal Online both are not legally registered entities and the word "Graal" is actually owned by a book company in sweden the TOS/AUP are not even legal it makes them invalid due to the lack of evidence supporting it as a legal entity. And im not sure what country your in but in the United States if you state your going to offer something you better offer it to the full if you donot you will get sued that is just a fact. Being that they serve U.S. customers and use systems governed by the U.S. Govt it is neccesary for them to follow U.S. law will running their business. All domain names are the property of ICAAN a organization ran by the U.S. Dept of Commerce Graalonline.com and the IP Addresses used as such are maintained as such. So i really dont need to hear any of this so what jazz anymore the fact is we get 0 customer support, low quality of service and no updates on when we will get what we actually paid for thus incurring breach of contract.

Notice how you only start to bash them AFTER they turned you down? Before you were all so eager to help them out, now you are trying to make them seem evil. If you are such a complainer why did you practically offer to support them, I also seem to remember you offering to pay the 100 bucks it costs to buy a rented playerworld to anyone who's idea intrested you, why the sudden change of opinon?

With the way you act Nova, I'm surprised unixmad said at first you would be doing the guilds...of course you aren't now, but there are reasons for that as well, hehe.

I could finish the guild control panel, but I only have the php files of the old GuildCP and the one I was working on a year ago, when I was supposed to be in charge of the website.

Both of which are useless know, as strom (?) or something like that did a new one, which I do not have. *shrugs slightly*

This is graal. You should have learned by now that everything here will take time to do.

Heh, my shoe size is 14. I could say the same about you, though you probably wear a size 8 (and have the maturity to boot). The point I was making is that whining about this stuff at every single opportunity you get is not solving anything and you are just spamming the forums. Now, kindly take your head out of your ass and stop trolling the creators or this fine game. BTW, my name is PICKLES. LEARN TO READ PLEASE. It not only says my name in my sig, but also RIGHT UNDER my account name.

Heh that is one long run on sentence. Anyway, yes, perhaps unixmad should have better planned out VIP and made sure that the services promised for them were available before allowing people to purchase VIP upgrades, but on the other hand, you should stop and think about what VIPs already get.

1. Much cheaper upgrade that gives people who don't care much for Graal Kingdoms a way to gain forum access.
2. VIP tag.
3. Exclusive beta testing of products before they are released to the general public (see Graal 3 beta)
4. An entire year of forums access
5. Ability to play Graal Kingdoms on weekends. (and before the cut off date, we had complete GK access)
6. A private forum (yes we do technically have one in guildCP)
7. Full access to playerworlds not on the main serverlist.
8. Ability to rent playerworld space.
9. Access to Shifting Ages alpha release (not an official benefit, but a nice perk from Soul-Blade none the less)

Look HARD at that list Nova. Those are the things VIP already get. So you don't have a private forum yet or a finished CP...you are still getting the majority of the services you paid for and for you to whine and complain in EVERY thread you can just makes it harder for the rest of us and I'm sure discourages unixmad as well. You should be ashamed of the way you have been acting, especially since the main reason you said you bought VIP in the first place (just do a little thread digging, you DID say this) was to SUPPORT GRAAL. Now look at you, you've become sludge underneath Stefan's shoes.

Oh I am sorry he got playerworld hosting up incase you all thought he scripted graal.net on his own its actually a opensource script available at www.sourceforge.net. We all know he didnt do the website (he had someone else do it)

Give the guy a little credit. He's doing the best that he can. There's lots of stuff he has to do behind the scenes that we aren't made aware of.

so what is getting done? thats all were asking there are hardly any updates its spread across months. I refuse to renew my VIP and im sure hardly any will renew their vip until we get the stuff we were told on forums and on the signup page we would get.
Well, I agree that he should keep us updated on the status of things, but maybe this can happen once the Graal Newsletter is launched (that is, if Angel is still gonna do it).

As far as not renewing your VIP, just further shows how much of a hypocrite you are. If you were truly honest in your claim that you want to support Graal, then these petty things wouldn't matter to you and you wouldn't be making an ass of yourself every chance you get.

here is the basic rundown since CyberJouerers and Graal Online both are not legally registered entities and the word "Graal" is actually owned by a book company in sweden the TOS/AUP are not even legal it makes them invalid due to the lack of evidence supporting it as a legal entity.
1. You obviously don't know what you are talking about and are just trying to look smart.
2. You failed miserably at that attempt because you are unable to construct proper sentences and lack proficient typing skills.
3. You truly put your title as MCP to shame.
4. Have a nice day.

Size 14 (in U.S. size) isn't so bad, unless you know for a fact that superb is only about 4-5 feet tall.

It was a joke. Ha ha. What's your sense-of-humor size? 2 1/2?

Well, I took it lightly. I knew what you were talking about.
