So...? I did use your character as a example. Mainly becasue I like how it looks. It isn't like I am going to use it on a server or anything. Besides, the dude I made doesn't look anything like an Oasis character.

I was waiting for you to reply to my thread trying to help me out and give me ideas since I like the way you do graphics, but you decide just to do this and make me look like a jerk. Have you never been inspired by someone elses work?

(when you get inspired you dont start off with the image and delete you use the image as an idea and start from scratch and basically use that as a guide line to get what you want for the final product when ever you use an image for insperation you dont copy the thing i think thats plagerism {sp? i know thats wrong X.X} and thats illeagal with out the orignal producers permission... just throwing down some facts X_X

All I did was look at Koni's picture and say I like it and make my own. It isn't like I copyed it. I didn't zoom in and copy pixel for pixel. I just saw it in an Oasis screenshot and tried to make something like it.

I'm not trying to make anyone look like a jerk. I'm just disappointed that people have to copy my graphics and modify them and then claim them as their own. I didn't say anything about them being used on a playerworld or anything.

I'm simply stating that I don't really like seeing people copy other people. I mean, sure, I'm flattered that people like my work enough to base their own work off of it. But it's just too similar to mine for me not to care.

You wanted advice? Well here's some advice... Instead of basing your graphics on already existing work, you should make your graphics from scratch. This means, that while yes, you can be inspired by other graphics, but when it gets down to drawing your own, you need to focus on nothing else but your own drawing. Don't keep looking at mine, don't keep trying to emulate mine. Just have a blank paper (or paint program or whatever) and draw without looking at anything but what you're doing.

That's all I ask. I just don't like seeing people claiming artwork that they barely put any effort into creation-wise. Sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to.

I dont know about him and weather he's new to it or not. But I've been learning graphics and I find the best way to learn things is to look at other peoples work and make my own version of it. Like Madwolf's State puff marshmellow man from ghost busters. Granted his is infinitly better the one I made was pretty good considering I did it from scratch while looking at his work for examples. I might post it some time for more help on what I should do in the future.

So rather than insult some one because they use your work and modify it. You should first check to make sure they arnt doing it to try and learn how to make graphics. I would think as long as they arnt trying to use it for something it wouldnt really matter. Not like the servers that rip your graphics and claim it as there own work.

But then again I could be way off track and have missed something.

That was one of my first graphics I ever even tried on. I am brand new to graphics. I can do everything in Graal development but graphics at the moment. If I can get good at graphics I can make my own server with my own vision. My vision is not Konidias's graphics, but I thought I might as well learn from who seems to be the best. It wasn't like I was pulling a Tyrial on you and saying I didn't use your idea and it was completely myne.

Also, if anyone could point me to any good tutorials on the Internet that would be great. I'm obviously not going to try to learn from Oasis's graphics anymore.

I am currently using MS-Paint so if anyone knows something better for pixel graphics please tell me that also.

Yes, but now I want to be good at graphics so I can make the playerworld in my visions. When working with other graphics artists you don't get exactly what you want, you get what they think you want. It isn't their fault, they just can't see inside my mind to make what I want exactly.

I'm also not using this on a server. I did it to learn. He was trying to make a server with his stolen graphics.

Koni: I really do like your graphics, and I think you have gone far with them. I also do realise that people have copied your stuff, which is the down side to Graal. However, Trevor never intended to use your body on any server, I already have a body template set done, with heads as well. I really think instead of taking offense to this kind of stuff, realise that it is ONLY because some people are not as creative of you. In other words, they are giving you a compliment. ^_^
