2. I don't get the experience joke

3. GK does need fixes that a reset would fix, but a reset is not NEEDED. For example, alchemy items should be deleted since they can no longer be made OR even better, bring back the ability to produce them. I really doubt it was intended to make alchemy items freely producable, and then take them out to let time decide how rare and valuable they become. It's really frusterating on any MMORPG to come long after the last reset, or since the game came up, because most of the server is at a level you'll have to work an extremely long time to get to. Missing holiday items (by joining the server late) is just as frusterating, but made up for by bringing back the same items every holiday. However, to add to these problems, you have alchemy items. Where players could have made their own cool item, or buy one at competiting prices. But now, people can charge as much as they'd like. There's really no competition in the market for selling alchemy items as people wouldn't really like to sell them at all. The differences between old and new players should only be minimal and traditional (mostly exp...). Maybe if alchemy items were over-powered by other items, things would be better. For example, an item like chainmail of berwean, that gives just as good speed if not more. Then the alchemy items can remain as trophies of the old days only. There, that's 3 possibilities. Delete the items, allow them to be made again (with set recipes? I don't know much on this, but it sounds as if the recipes were random), or over-power them and do a sufficient job with it.
Ehrm, sorry for getting off topic.
