Knight Graphic - Lookie Lookie!

Here is a graphic I made. Ive been working on it for a few days piece by piece. Anyways I am pretty much done with it except for maybe making arm sprites that go like \ and / because as of yet he can only put his arms down or out to the side. I also need to change the size of the sword a bit and some other small things. Anyway here are the sprites so far. (I only made forward facing)

Ok and here is the knight holding his shield and sword. What I need to know is, does the shield look like its being held in the right place (like did i put i infront of the right part of the body or should it be held higher or lower etc.) Also does the sword look like its being extended or pointed at the ground.

Right when I was gonna post this i got kicked from AOL and noticed that i had origionally made the kngith with the shield and sword a leftie lol, and i didnt think to select it and then do
"Image->Flip/Rotate->Flip Horizontal" so i manually did that and in doing so i improved the placement of the shield and sword blah blah blah i have no clue why im telling you this. Also can somone make these into .png cus the computer im using right now cannot save them as .png

Ummmm Dude I didnt work on it constantly...
The main outline and crap only took me a bit, the rest was changes i kept coming back and making. See I cant do anything else on the computer snce mine is broken, all I can do is go online or use paint... And my sister is with my grandparents in wisconsin so every once in awhile she will try to sign on and i get bumped off of AOL, so i'll either watch TV for compulsively change stupid graphics I made. Anyways whatever :P

Might want to increase the size of the character, unless that was your aim. I can give you some suggestions over aim if you wish.

Nobody can steal as fast as you! (You see, I know the concept is foreign to you, but people with original ideas need TIME to decide upon what they want to darw and how)

Anyway, now that's nice =) You can increase it in size to make it look better. I see you used armor from your phost good idea =)

The shading is a bit weird, I've seen this type before, it goes like, zig zag and then diagonal, but it does it with three colors in a row, it sorta looks bat at times, and good at others, the trick is to get it right.

Try to diversify the shading patern, so it's more "natural" rather then gradient like.
