Hmm its good but I dont like the plain colours in the bed and carpets.

He's not going to add layers. He says they slow things down, so he's not adding them. I believe they are actually scripted into the Graal engine, but he has them disabled.

Thats sad..

Perhaps he could make that you can have transparency on tiles..

EG: You put grass tiles, and over it you put a house or so with transparency, so the transparency part will show the grass.

You can do all that with very simple scripting.

What you should do is make the bottom wall an image and make it drawn over the player. Maybe add a bit of transparency also.

I don't like the carpets, wooden floor's (It's to repetative to be wood), and the beds (Shading and shape). Also the shutters and front of the house bricks need to be better with more detail... =o.

It what they did for som2 and a lot of other games that had to have an image go over the player they made it in to an npc..

Maybe the inside walls shouldnt be just grey. Why not choose some other tiles to give it a nice texture.
