Bravo Online Modern Alpha

If you have ever looked through the server list any time in the last few months, you may have noticed that Bravo was near the bottom with 4-5 players; all RCs.
We have decided to start Bravo with a whole new style, and forget everything that we had before!
We now have a small alpha world with very few levels, but still enough for players to interact in. It was made using a new tileset with the NW tileset format. I hope you will enjoy it, its neat, colorful, and attractive!

We have a variety of weapons including guns and throwing knives. They are currently available for free so that players can test them, but in future versions, players will require money to get them. We hope you enjoy these new additions, and we are still trying to work out some bugs, so be patient, you need to realize that not all weapons will always work...

Please post your comments and concerns, and if you find any problems, please report them to the Bravo Online staff!

PS: We didn't "rip off" Era. Nothing of ours is stolen from Era, although as some have put it, we took a similar approach to Era.

It's great that u 'took a similar approach' but can you tell me that Bravo wasn't influenced at all by Era?

..I was on there last night. To me it seemed like Bravo ripped off Era 99.9%..the only difference is that Bravo has water tiles..The buildings and streets look pretty much the same too me, just minor differences. Try something new, not something someone else tried that worked.

No... we made something else... it sucked and no one ever came on so we made this...

I can't say this wasn't influenced by Era, but can you say Graal wasn't influenced by Zelda? And can you say Era wasn't influenced by GTA? Everything was influenced by something!

You can't call this a direct rip, because the graphics aren't the same, they are different... Look at Bravo and Era's tilesets side by side and you may notice something... If not, go get glasses and look again!

We have guns, Era has guns... Yes, but our guns have different scripts and graphics!

We have trees, every other sevrer has trees, but ours are original... We didn't rip ANYTHING from Era, and if we did(directly), than tell our staff, and the person held responsible will be fired and blacklisted...

As for guilds? Graal Army, N-Pulse Army, UN Army, etc...
And guilds aren't a result of staff, or the Bravo Online team, they are made and managed by the players, so its not our fault if our guilds have similar names...

On a different note, Bravo was 4th on the serverlist, right below UN, Era, and Graal Kingdoms! We had 49 players on!! The funny thing about that is we have less than 15 levels open to the public!

WE did come up with something. No one liked it. So we used modern day idea, and are using it. We have new bodies also, when those get finished we will reveal them also.

You can all say we used Era's idea, but Era took Tritans idea to use the roads and stuff. Darkvillian had a whole tileset for it, and Era seen it, and used it before he could, so they got 100% credit. Also, anyone can make the "modern day" tiles and NOT have similarities in Era's tileset. It's still a non-origanal thing to do... using modern day weapons is a sure thing to get people eroused and wanting to play it. Quit frankly using them is a desprate call, the tilesets look a lot alike era's, lloyd saying they weren't right at the begginning kinda through it off. and the TREES ARE FROM WAN! I know they are, unless you got permission or they are STOLEN.

It looks like small parts were taken from Era and Maloria's tilesets and were just recolored. Can't say for sure. I'll get back to this after I compare them.

Wan was just on RC a few days ago, and im pretty sure he said we can use them. Although i havent seen the trees yet, casue everytime i go on graal my comp freezes,

Yes, Wan made the trees... But you are forgetting the possibility that Wan could work on the Bravo team...

I don't really think you can call it a "whole new style" when you can log on a playerworld called Era, and see nearly the exact same thing. No you didn't just steal tiles and stuff, but you just remade tiles that look nearly identical to Era's. The house outsides, the insides, the streets, the ideas. It looks like a modified Era.

Really, are you THIS desperate to get players? I mean were you just sitting around one day thinking "Hey Era has a ton of players on, let's clone it but make everything ourselves, therefore we can't be accused of stealing!".

I mean it's obvious this new Bravo was heavily influenced by Era. Now I have nothing against inspiration from other games, but taking the same style and ideas from another GRAAL PLAYERWORLD is just stupid. Do something original for god's sake. There's like thousands of ideas that haven't even been done on Graal, yet everyone churns out the same old crap, or copies of somebody else's work.

The PWA is on this already. Some tiles will have to be changed for sure, and the GST is performing intensive scrutiny on the scripts to make sure they weren't stolen or just slightly modified then made for Bravo. Yes, it's a rip, Mystical Dragon even said so, and I won't hesitate to call it a rip either, so don't get offended if I do.

Whatever happened to the Bravo I saw 4-5 months ago? The levels were amazing, the overworld intracate and complex, and you guys just bail out and say that it's attracting no one so you have to restart over for the 10th time (according to brandon). This is not acceptable. Servers like Babylon, Maloria and Doomsday once had no players playing it either, but they didn't redo their overworld every 5 days just to attract players. They made things with their exsisting tools and assets, gained players' trust and loyalty, and look at them now, they are decent worlds.

So what, you'll see 45 players on Bravo from now on, but for how long? Doesn't anyone remember when new servers come out? They usually have 100+ people, then die down after a few days. I would wager quite a bit to say that Bravo's players will drop significantly within a week at the most. Then I guess you guys will wonder what the heck happened, and get to work on making overworld #11. Totally unacceptable.

You really have to wonder what kind of idiot it takes to go and clone an existing playerworld, just to get players. Like nobody will notice that it's an exact clone.

I don't think Brandon knew when Andor was put up, which was possibly the best Bravo-type server, I don't think he knew when it was returned to Bravo either.

Personally with as often as this Server has changed its levels and everything else in it I think it should just be taken down. I mean any server that isnt fully functioning shouldnt be allowed to be up. There should be rules against remaking overworlds at the drop of a hat. If they want to remake the server it should be taken down and then retested this is a big failure for most servers. They have a nice overworld they take it down and replace it with crap that would have never passed playerworld inspections. This current one doesnt even have enough levels to pass a playerworld inspection. A handful of levels? Last I heard the requirment was 250+ levels. Bravo has had its day in the sun and should be taken down before its tainted further. If some one wants to remake it and put it up properly then more power to them but they really need to stop with the crap train that seems to be constantly going through Bravo.

Also fire your Lat's those levels are complete crap an and an abomination. ;x

I'm pretty sure some idiotic person like lloyd said it was a great idea or twist or something. I think it's very lame doing what they are doing and they're very unorganized with how they do it, mainly because MD likes to do it his way and doesn't care about what anyone else thinks.

Im a bravo staff(ex- to be rehired soon). I hate this project i think its a ripoff too. But the Guild Admin dont have much say... Its true MD has to do everything his way...

I don't exactly think it's Brandons fault for having Era go online, but if what other people have said is true (pure speculation) then maybe it's time you should take a stronger grip on your server. It's yours, not theirs, don't be held hostage by the staff members. You should know what's going on at your server as frequently as possible because it's a large responsibility.

I go on the server and see there is more then one manager. A server should only have one real manager and an asst. From what I saw there are 3 managers, maybe more who knows.

I would like to see a PW use their GFX skills and NPC skills to make something original. There already is Era, which has been in development for a while. There is no way that Bravo can become better than Era when they copy Era. People are always going to choose Era over Bravo until Era begins to die out without updates.

My suggestion is to get your tiles artist and create something that hasn't been done. Search through these forums; there are a ton of PWs that had great ideas that never made it. My favorite one was a western style PW (I think that would be nice to see).

Copying Era may get you some players, but it will really lower the respect people have for Bravo.

This Bravo remake is so creative and original, that I think it deserves to be taken down.
