RC Suggestion

Make it so if you are idle on the RC for a certain amount of time, it will automatically log you out. That's all.

Or at least make it an option, sometimes that could be disasterous if it automatically does it.

It could be. What would happen if you were in the middle of scripting a large project and then for not doing anything you get kicked off... all I see from this is complaints X.x

Bad idea. What if I am typing up a script in the window and all the sudden I get disconnected? The server will think I am idleing, but really I am typing in script window.

I don't like it...I sometimes leave my RC open along with let's say...a gani I'm editing and go downstairs for a few to get a snack then to see something like this would really piss me off.

If it does come in place, DO make it an option, besisdes I don't see why people like Palin and Warcaptain need to idle on RC when they're asleep, there's no point.

There is a point.

1)It lowers the risk of an active hacker to try and cause trouble since they would think the admins are online.
2)It does NO harm =/

Suggestion: Make it automatically log you off when "idle" for a certain period of time.

btw: you don't need RC on while you go down to the kitchen to fix snacks.

make it an option as that guy up there said

good:
-will stop brothers/sisters from tampering with the RC and possibly disconnecting it (happened recently on delteria)

bad:
-sudden disconnection when busy doing X and losing all of your work

-If no admins are there people will try and "hack"

I'm sure there are many more good and bad reasons... it should be up to the person on RC to make the decision if they want to be disconnected when idling

if you cant trust your brothers/sisters then this would be a great thing (though you can setup your screen saver to lock when you idle)

well anyway, whatever it should be an option... not too hard to do either

Well it doesn't take a godly time to do that, so why bother logging off then back on just to get something to eat.

When I said "idle" i meant no action is being done on your computer, meaning no keys are stroked, no movement of the mouse. You know, like how your monitor cuts off after a certain amount of time when you aren't on the computer (unless you disable that feature).

You could right a script that sent uber amounts of PMs to a RC that is idleing. That would freeze that person's computer and would essentialy kick the person.
