Trade Tables!
|
A nice piece of furnature, looks like a table but is for trading
You can then add one to your player-house store, and the owner can place items for sale on them.
Use commands like:
/setselltable sell itemname sellprice [plat|gold|silver]
the owner could pick them up for free of course,
or
/setselltable buy itemname [of material] buyprice [plat|gold|silver] qtylimit
the [of material] would be optional for things like stone, so you can say '/setselltable buy stone of stone 1 plat 10'
....so people don't sell their stone made of metal that you cannot use to build houses with.
so players can sell items too, if the owner left enough plat for purchasing.
(Note, if a player sells something, it would need to go into a holding place, not onto the table for sale, unless that item type was already on the table for sale.)
other commands:
/setselltable takefloat amount - takes money out of float for buying
/setselltable addfloat amount - adds money to float for buying
/setselltable collectbuys - takes items people sold that are not on table
....and commands I guess would only work when touching the table.
And when a purchase/sale occurs, the NPC server can PM the store owner if they are online.
If automation like that doesn't go over well, then how about being able to use them in conjunction with paying a NPC storekeeper a weekly/daily fee?
It would be more RPerly to hire a storekeeper, and then you have to make ends meet to pay your employee. |

"Why, of course! It's just a name, like the Death Zone or the Zone of No Return. All the zones have names like that in the Galaxy of Terror."
