Event Ideas/Ways to Get Money off Server

I have thought of a few simple ideas that would be fun and take money off of the server at the same time.

Lottery
An NPC vendor sells tickets at 100-150 platinum coins each. At the end of the week a winner is randomly selected and he/she get something like a potion which gives them 10x expirience for 24 hours when used, or warpto for a week or something like that.

Donations
Donations are made to NPC donation bins (located in every store perhaps). At the end of the month the person who has donated the most amount of money gets a custom ring named as the person chooses (with a max on how good it can be obviously, such as only 8 +stats, up to 50 in resistences and 1 thing attuned).

Museum
You can pay some money (maybe 3-5k) to have a picture/statue and discription of yourself put into a museum of famous Kingdom players.

What do you think?

How would the custom rings get out of control?

Staff can spare 5 minutes a month to make a custom ring for one person?

there would eventually be a ton of rings.. and if it lasted really long, the chance of getting a named ring would be way more than getting a regular ring.

Sorry, but I think all three ideas are stupid. The prizes are too good. Maybe the winner of the lottery gets back half of the total amount everyone put in and the other half is erased. The picture and museum thing is just plain stupid along with warpto. As for the donations thing, maybe the highest donator gets a normal item or ring or something equivalant to what they donated to win.

I was thinking about having it a one time thing (like HUDS on 2k1), meaning that only 1 custom ring would ever be on the server.

NO. Don't do that, because that leads to a lot of jealous and angry people. Bad idea.

I don't think 1 ring makes people anymore jelous than of people who have other powerful rings like RoW and RoS.

Yes, it would. People who get jealous of those with RoS and such can get over their jealousy by working towards getting their own.

If there was just one lucky fellow with his own custom ring that NO ONE else can have .. then what?

Do you see my point?

Best way is to use it for war purposes
Kingdoms donate money into fund
allowing king to create guard outpost, hired guards (which you should beable to equipt him with better stuff) and your general battering ram and catapult..or hell better boats and cannon improvements!
