Disconnected, but in the game.

Okay. You get suddenly disconnected for some reason, but the server still thinks you're in the game.

I'm guessing that it's the NPC Server that can not detect a player entering or leaving, because when that goes down, there are problems with this sort of thing.

Why can't the g-server detect players entering and leaving, and maybe relay that information to the NPC Server?

I don't know, something like that. I don't know a lot about how it all works .. it's just an idea.

Stefan made it like that so you aren't in the middle of an RP Battle and you are going to get attacked and you say 'Oh well, I will get off now so he can't hurt/kill me!' *logs off* and then you are gone, so it makes you stay for 10 seconds (correct me if I am wrong?) and so they can attack you still (because its pretty stupid if you just log off each time you are going to get attacked).

I may be wrong, but if you close Graal properly, you leave the game immediately. You only linger if you are disconnected. Stefan said this happens because the server cannot detect you leaving..

Anyway, I'm sure that any battles like that would be with Kingdoms or the like, and if someone were to log off to avoid death .. I'm almost completely sure that they would get some sort of punishment from their Kingdom. :o

Dear God that is scary.

Fortunately, I don't have to worry about it anymore .. ever since I got the new cable line for my cable modem, I've not had one disconnect from the Internet.

Wait .. well .. there was that one time when the NPC Server went down. Walking .. in .. place .. that was frightening. :|
