Unix... are you MAD?

Well, my friend is waiting for his account to become activated (forum account) and he has been waiting for the last 5 days. He talked to Koni and koni said he wasn't allowed, but unix was getting behind cause there was like 30 people waiting authorization. So what is gonna happen?

Mine took about 4-5 days. Just depends on when you create the account and how busy Unix is...

The person the thread creator is talking about probably paid by phone, probably unlike most of you. Dunno, but if it is the same person that I talked to once, this is a pretty sad story. I told Stefan about him waiting for an upgrade repeatly, and he responded, but did not seem to care.

I'm pretty sure you can only get a classic upgrade using the phone.

The chances are you would need to go to the offices and not his home, When you get there you would porbally have to get past a form of security, Maybe keycard, Password, or a person if the offices have more than just Cyberjouers (sp?) in it. So you go past that your now inside, Now you need a password for Stefans log on, If there is a log on network system. Then that chances are there will be a few more passwords along the way. It would probally be abit well pointless! And a waste of time. Id rarther wait about 10-12days instead of doing all that =D

My friend had to wait 3 and a half weeks for his Graal account to work (he upgraded to gold. He sent an e-mail for help many times, and Unixmad only took heed of him when he started making aggressive comments.)

Anyway, geting back on topic...
Why did Unixmad make it so that we could not use the accounts after we got the e-mail and replyed it?

Anyway, I think I made a thread, and Galen replyed in a few minutes saying mine and Dragon's accounts accounts were activated. :O Must of been the fastest ;-)
Anyway, Unixmad won't give anyone the power to do anyhting anymore.

The entire reason it takes so long is because he makes sure the accounts are paid off and will not be faulty, because then the account would have to be removed from the forums only a short time after it was added, which would be a waste of time.

What Galen was doing was not right. He wasn't supposed to be just activating accounts at random. Anyway, I've discussed this with Unixmad a few days ago, and hopefully he will think of a better solution.

If you guys lived one day in their shoes, and did what they had to do, you would realize how stressful it is to do their job. For the time-being, this is the only safe way to make sure accounts are upgraded before activation. I agree, Galen or Koni should be able to, but they don't got access to the account db.

About forums accounts I validate them all weeks, because of credit card frauds we first need to verify the credit card transaction before validating.

Most of you known I take 1 hour each day to reply to Emails, but when someone thread me telling he will sue us if we don't upgrade the account right now then I just delete the Email and wait for this guy to send a Email with requested documents.

Most players write to me telling, "upgrade my account now", but they don't send any information's, neither there account name, neither any proof of payment, even with my magical Crystal ball I can not do anything for them.
