After a long talk with Nemesis last night. We decided to release Bravo with the old levels. This isn't permanent though, we are only doing this so players can play on OLD Bravo while New Bravo is still in the making. We could have kept old Bravo up if we wanted to because it isn't up to the PW Inspectors if it stays or goes. It's Nemesis',Stefan's, or Unixmad's.

Uh, yeah, let's ignore the 2 hours I spent on there helping Thak find bugged NPCs...

I told them it was a bad move releasing it because there were TONS of scripts that needed to be converted. They couldn't do it. If that's "*******" enough for you, tough sh*t. You'll get what's coming to you if necessary.

The new Bravo being made will be better than the old one.
(I hope.)

I wish we could just stay as a closed server, as we continue working on the newer Bravo world. The old levels will lag and crash the NPC Server, and delay progress further. Plus, staff will be distracted by these levels, and probably end up fixing them.

If Bravo was allowed to stay closed and 'under construction' for a few months, I am pretty sure the end result would be well worth it.

You want to know why?

Servers that are revamping the overworld on the classic list are technically doing something illegal. You're not suppose to abuse that, that's why we have private servers. If I had a nickel for every single time a PW manager wanted their playerworld private so they can make "the 1337est haxor bestest playerwerld evar#$@"

The classic playerworlds are constantly improving, fixing levels, adding quests, etc... But servers like Bravo, Faheria, SL, Gal, etc... are totalling changing the server. The story, the levels, the npcs, and the graphics are all being redone. This has to stop.

If we were to improve upon the Old Bravo world, and bring it to a good level of quality, it would be the same as remaking it, practicaly.

All the levels would have to be redone, because they are not up to standard, at all. The scripts would also all have to be redone.

A while ago, in summer we decided to redo it, instead of wasting time improving the old stuff.

If you guys want to redo the server, take it offline. It's not fair that you get to keep it up and make a small side show for your players while other servers which are much better have to get it up the hard way.

I would try to make an argument for SL, but its true that it is sort of unfair. It would have liked to add a few more things here and there to SL1 while finishing up SL2 to keep interest and such, but we just don't have the man-power staff-wise.

I started to think of maybe allowing players to submit stuff like simple quests for small 'prizes'..but for those have been on, SL1's levels are being taken down (hence the destruction of the world 'event' going on in area0) in place of a few levels that will players will stay on until SL2 is released..Oh well, enough of my ramblings..

Anyway, it seems like Bravo is having some troubles also with it wants to do, unless they've decided to re-do it again or something..Lol

I don't have a big red button that shuts down servers at whim, neither does Toran, or any former PWA staff. It has only been very recently (ever since Nemesis was hired) that we've been able to finally propose our changes to him and then get actual consideration. This means that in the past, PWA trying to shut a server down was just as helpful if a regular player asked it to be so, because Stefan and Unixmad still fail to recognize the PWA fully, they just see it as something that's there.

Thanks to Nem, we've been able to finally take action in online things, and that would be including the removal of several playerworlds that are simply contentless and useless (not naming any names).

With the current PW system in place, the system is being badly abused, and I'm finally glad it's been recognized and many changes will be coming very soon.

Ok, I see where you guys are going with this. I agree the Old Bravo sucks, but that isn't the point. Nemesis told me "older is better" and he said we should have kept the Old Bravo levels up. I took his advice and did so. That is one reason why the Old Bravo levels are up.

New Bravo:

It is almost done. We need one more place. Matt said he would do it but I havn't seen anything of it yet. I will have a few people connect all of Bravo together. Around 7 islands. Matt and Axe agreed on connecting them. We might need more because they around levels need to be made still.

I think Bravo old levels were good also if you guys took your time imptoveing level by level script by script it could be a leet server like it once was.But if you keep hireing people like Gastley from maloria you guys aint getting know were oh and shadowless (BIG MISTAKE) Crys for attention to much.
