Player vs Player battles on 2k2 are awful. For one, a level 5 guy has barely any advantage over a level 1 guy besides more hp. Which is rather meaningless and I will explain why.

The more levels you gain, the more you are hunted by pkers. Because you give off more experience. So what is the point of getting to level 10 or something? You would be constantly hunted down by people.

Your massive amount of extra health does no good. For example, you could sit there mining and some guy comes up behind you. In less than 2 seconds of hitting you, he will have drained you of half of your life.

This isn't even the worst part. The worst part is that when you get hit, you can't move for a split second. If someone hits you multiple times, there is no way to avoid it. You can go from 40hp, to 0 in 4-5 seconds without ever getting a chance to make a move.

This is discouraging to high level players. The only advantage they have is health, and it doesn't even matter. People can attack you in the water, in houses, nowhere is safe. It makes the game far less enjoyable. I feel there needs to at least be a better damage system. One where you "blink" like in the old graal damage system. So that you are invunerable for a moment. At least this would give you a chance to get out of their fury of button tapping long enough to try and hit them back.

I'm level 5 and a level 1 guy could kill me in an instant. It's completely ridiculous.

Also, is there going to be a different system of dying for kingdom battles? Who the heck would EVER want to battle when you're just going to end up dying and losing tons of experience and stats?

I'll see what I can do about the damage system, but I can't change dieing, it's built into the mudlib.

Er1c fixed it so you cannot kick/punch or use a naginata over water so people shouldn't be able to kill in water..except for magic =X

thats not fair, now sorcerers will sit in water all day and use their overpowerful magic that spans across the entire globe to pk people. It happened 2 times today already.

i think if sorcerer's use thier magic too much they should go like crazy and damage their brains (reduce illtellignce and mental exp)

Sure magic seems strong, but its nothing compared to what a weapon can do
lvl 3-and I cast 2 icestorms on this pker
it doesn't even get him to 3/4 of his max health. And I don't mean it didn't do 3/4 damage, I mean he still had more than 3/4 of his max health.

Well, being a wizard, I am very weak and cannot move during my spells, or I will be killed by my spells.
This guy just plows through the spells and hacks me to pieces.
2 hits and I was dead. I had..20 health? Not sure.
Anyway I'm lvl 2 now..
My main point is that spells are NOT OVERPOWERED. They are actually TOO WEAK.

Unless anyone can explain why this happens..

You must be using spread spells, which spread out away from you.. if he runs in on you, he is only hit by the spell once, and can attack you from there. If he runs away from the spell, he is most likely to be hit by it more because it's coming towards him. Just as you aren't affected by the spell when you are in the center. It's like the eye of the storm, if someone gets inside your spell, you're dead meat.

There are higher level spells you can buy, but you need to level up your magic level in order to use them.
