Are we Allowed to make 3d terrain Playerworlds? and if so where can i get the Terrain Generator

Why wouldn't he.
He lets other playerworlds use it.
I know DK was using it, not sure if it still is though.

Yea I'm pretty sure you'll need Stefan's permission but if you show him you have enough quality staff to make it work he wouldn't have any objections.
Although I personally wouldn't want it because it requires lots of graphics work and Graal lacks good graphics makers.

mmmmkay: Word of advice: Stefan isn't too fond of other PWs using terrain, so I wouldn't do it. Plus your GFX staff has to be crazy and good.

1.) having the terrain generator without stefans permission is 'illegal'
2.) He wouldnt even let 2k1 use it, why would he let others (dont give me any bs about the baddy caverns being 3d, it is just a tileset with a flat gmap)
3.) I don't believe any pw has permission

I have the Terrain generator, i got it from GYoshi when i was working for DK, i dont think i am working for them no more cause GYoshi is always away or busy x.x (i was lat), but i think it's ok for me to have it cause i think GYoshi got the Ok to use it and i was hired as a lat so yeah.

Just because an RC has away in his name doesnt mean he's reallly away. All it mean is he doesnt have the player list up. Unless they unselect the auto option where your name goes as away if you close the player list.

If a server (namely mine, SketchBook) has it's graphix entirely redone, includeing player's sprite definitions, could it be eligable for 3d? Or would I need to get a team of developers to do alot of the work I am perfectly capable, and promise people other staff positions? Or do I just need pretty graphix?

Even if you don't get a 3d gen, you can still waist your time simulateing it, but you would have to re-script things as basic as movement. You could have it so the player's xy can be determined by his "xyz" strings you made, to simulate depth, then have 64 ganis for each gani, to simulate player depth, as well as potentualy 64 images for every image... might be fun to try if you have alot of time on your hands.

'might be hard as all hell, but it is very posible, as well as is an intresting concept in wich none have been dedicated to their server's look and feel to do that.

Ive Talked to stefan he said u would hafta have ur own tileset and gfx so ya might have a shot go for it =P

Corupt: graal doesnt have bad gfx artists most of them are just lazy and don't have any inspiration and or motivation to create what their minds has drawn out.. graal has good gfx artists.

it takes more than just having the graphics, you have to have the common sense to actually know how to make them work on your server with npcs and such

In what way do you mean that? do you mean that they should share the same perspective and view, do you mean they should be as in a similiar style, as in someone draws them all in 1 drawing style, or do you mean something that is not entirly aparent to one who is realy sleepy, such as myself?
