icon transparent

Can someone make the bg on this image transparent and a .ico type gfx? And/or tell me where/what I can get to do this?

If you want to make an icon, just open paint or something, make it 32x32. The transparent color is 0,0,0 (Black). Save it with a .ico extension. That works, but then you don't have a mini icon. (When viewing them as small icons) Its messed cause they take the .ico file and shrink it basically.

You can make you're bmp's into gifs and set there transparencies.

I cleaned out my "My Files" folder, and it had an Icon-making/editor/transferring program in it.
